Over the weekend, i was in the city over the weekend and was at a friend’s unit near circular quay. Got in the lift with what appears to be 4 European guys and 2 Asian (J or K girls). One of the dudes looked at me and I looked at him and he gave me a smile. I smiled back. They all got out on the same level.

I automatically assumed the girls were WL’s who looked absolutely stunning with the dudes just wearing casual clothing.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks their escorts. Possibly friends but highly doubt it.

This is completely my pigeon-holed experience, but I feel like as an Asian guy, I can't pull girls the same way a caucasian/European/white guy can. I understand your thoughts that they could be WLs, but when first reading "4 European guys and 2 Asian girls", I just think they were able to pick them up from a bar/club, or were able to arrange it through Tinder or whatever similar app.

The danger is when fools start acting on those assumptions... That older guy with the young female Asian... certainly a fellow punter out with his evening's pull... or a father out with his step-daughter. Even in a bar full of BFL's where most are working, the operative word is most. Some might just be married couples out to have a drink and listen/dance to the band. Or obviously those WG's at the next table... just civilian friends out for a good time whose family (father, brother) happen to have some juice such as LE or ranking military...

Even a couple of old white knights feeling culturally obligated to run interference with some young female colleagues out for dinner while working in a foreign country...

I’m an average looking white guy with poor fashion sense, I’ve always had a lot of female Asian friends who almost universally look and dress better than I do (and very few of them are current or former WLs).

I fully accept that people are going to think ‘she’s out of his league’ if I’m out with one or more of said friends, I really hope though most people are not thinking ‘he must be paying her’. Really unfair to them if we start thinking every attractive woman / Asian woman / hot woman with average guy is a WL.

From time to time I do hang out with current or former WL friends outside the shop, including sometimes when they’re on their way to or from work. I’d say 95% of the time there’s nothing to distinguish them from any other reasonably attractive girl you’d pass on the street, or if they’re dressed up the average girl off to the club or whatever. The 5% you might notice a difference is in some situations (particularly if close to their place of business) they might be making an effort not to be recognised.
