Why pay card and incur additional charges?

I've noticed more and more shops literally asking me to bring cash upon arrival. Which honestly I'll always carry cash for paying for goods and services.

A few shops tell me that customers don't mind paying the surcharge. I just don't get it?

$5, $10 or even 10% it all adds up easily for a punt.

You pay the surcharge a few times and it equally makes up a 30 or 45m massage. Or even more

Brothels an extra 20-30 bucks ontop.

I have paid by card a few times, due to laziness/convience or lack of city information on where the nearby ATM's are. And yes, I felt dirty afterwards from being slugged $30 from withdrawing cash haha.

If I remember correctly, some Sydney brothels in brothels have ATM's also, which also had a high transaction fee, like $20 or so.

Last time I went to Gold Coast, Hollywood Showgirls strip Club had 20% surcharge on cash withdraws lol.

I’ve used card when I’ve been absolutely strapped for time squeezing a punt in. Double whammy of the $30 surcharge and paper trail. Yuck

Why on earth would you leave a paper trail behind putting it back n the card… just asking for problems. Be a Boy Scout and be prepared, get cash out and it’s all anonymous

This might help. Any place with pokies like pubs, RSLs, casinos, etc, will have ATMs with low withdrawal fees. Something like $2 or less. They want you to withdraw cash so you can blow it away on their pokies, so they make it easier to get the cash.

If there's a pub nearby, just go there to get your cash and GTFO to the brothel.

Any known FS places that do take card out of interest? Surcharge is ok.
I’m not talking ATMs in the foyer etc.

For me, the background is I have a few prepaid credit/eftposa cards and like to use punting and not tap into my normal funds :)

Surely most of the major places would accept card (with the surcharge). Don’t know for sure though, never pay by card. I always make sure I have at least enough cash for my next punt on me at all times. You never know when opportunity may strike.
