CBD Wynyard side dead?

Fellow punters,

I'm starting a new job and will be located at Barangaroo/Wynyard.

I use to work in the CBD and was blessed with options, but after searching this forum, all im reading is that Wynyard R&T shops are practically gone/closed/downhill.???????

Anyone can provide a quick summary on where they go and options around the area? Otherwise im going to have to train it to Central for my daytime punt

Wynyard was never a great punting area even in the best of times. But still there are options...
Probably the most convenient location would be 80 Erskine.

Sussex Star is also not too far away, just gotta hike down Sussex St. In fact they would be my first port of call if I were you.

If you can get away for a longer lunch hour, 647 Waterloo (if you like the $150/hr shops) is a 5 min walk from the metro station albeit in a rough part of town. Should be accessible from Barangadangadoo metro.

Or there’s heaps of places in Pitt St near Gadigal.

Or train from Wynyard to Artarmon, Hampden Rd has heaps of FS options.

I haven’t punted in town for ages but I’m in that area for work. I just save it for evenings or weekends.

Interesting thread will keep an eye on this for any good places to check out if ever in the area. But given how busy Wynyard is and working in that area what if you bump into a co-worker or co-worker happens to see you go into the store?

There's a couple of very overpriced shops in an alleyway near Wynyard.

Where is the alleyway? Only place I’ve been to at Wynyard is 7 lotus.

Unfortunately it seems like there is no value in the north cbd compared to inner west etc
