View Full Version : General talk Why can’t massage shops have operating hours like brothels?

Most of the massage shops close at 8 to 9 pm, not like most of the brothels which close ofter midnight. This makes it really unfair for guys like me who have full time jobs and finish up work at around 6 pm. My regular ML only works during certain week days and I have some family obligations to take care of too, making the window of opportunities to visit her very limited. Moreover, I am not used to having sex during daytime. When I was married or in a relationship, I always had sex with my partner at night, before going to sleep. I think there are many guys like me with this sexual habit, and it’s nothing strange. Just out of curiosity, why can’t the massage shops operate till after midnight like brothels, since they are basically offering the same services now?The shops and the mLs can make more money too by extending their working hours to cater for the needs of the working population. Any thought?

There are a few that open till late, like Elysian in the Valley
Also, massage shops are not really for sex, that’s brothels
Yes the Law have change but not everyone go to a massage shop for sex but everyone that go to a brothels go for sex.
People around massage shops can complain and say the place run as a brothel and then the State will place restrictions on where a massage shop can operate

It is a catch 22 situation, you made a valid point but doubt if there is a straight answer

There are a few shops open all night or very late.
Time in the CBD and the new Golden Time in New Farm.
A couple of the Valley shops.

But honestly, the percentage of drunks, weirdos (no offence) and drug addicts after 9pm would be a safety issue for any shop opening up. A women in a Valley shop almost had her head chopped off recently late at night

Most shops would ask their mls to work ridiculous hours rather than have dedicated late staff.
Not sure i want to see an ml at 11pm who has been on the clock since 9am.
How many restaurants are open past 9pm?
Brisbane is not a late night town.

If i want or have to go to TMR or a 9-5 business, I cant ask them to stay late to suit me. I have to find time to accomodate their hours or take my business elsewhere. If possible.

WKT, sorry what does TMR stand for?

Department of Transport and Main Roads. At TMR, the only massage you get is the emotional kneading from endless waiting.

Safety for the girls is paramount. I'm noticing there are a few shops that only have one or two girls, so safety and security would be an issue for them.

Understanding those located in the quiet residential block like T5 are closing earlier. But those situated at the shopping district like 5 star, 4 seasons may consider extending their working hours? In fact, residents are not happy with massage shops no matter when they operate. Saw car park gate shut down by residents a couple of times already when trying to visit Aurora.

A lot of the shops if you are a regular or they at least know you then you can often arrange a late night punt. This is especially true for places where the girls sleep at the shop.

The OP might consider becoming a regular of an established working girl rather than a shop.

The WG will offer a pleasant apartment experience. At a time to suit the OP.

I had such an arrangement with genuine Chinese student. She had a small group of regulars. Enough for a good life without shagging every late night drunk.

Being fair or unfair is totally irrelevant as this is a business and the owners/staff are there to make money, it's not a public service. I think the other replies cover most of the relevant issues.
