Reappearing gems....

Called my local to make a booking on Monday, I thought my 'new regular' would be on.... turns out she isn't.... :(
But - another nice girl I've seen twice before (not since May), and thought she had disappeared, is on, and at the perfect time. Nice! That never happens....

Booked - 'Do you need a name?' I ask....
'We've got you in the phone 'Bob' '.... shit, I go there too much! (Bob may or may not be either my real name or my punting name btw .... :) )

Isn't it nice when one you thought lost reappears like that though!

I keep my gems in a vault. Cheap mobile phones, not smart, just a basic mobile, were a watershed moment: she had a number that you could keep on yours. No longer having to go to the bar and hope to find; a simple SMS "Where are you?" sufficient. Have never looked back. Now, with apps, even easier; don't have to develop a naming convention to distinguish "her" from others with same name. And with built-in translation, can communicate directly, no need for a 3rd party "translator". No more whining "anybody seen..."

Then of course she called in sick! As did the other 2 who were supposed to be on..... I met the two call-ins who were there - one was quite cute, the other - don't ask (she would need to pay me). Then I'm told I can't book the cute one, as there is an issue with her health check that needs sorting out. The recep checked with the manager - nope, can't do. I walked.
Did a bit of shopping, realising I had a couple of hours, phoned back to see if this situation would be resolved soon - it's all ok, no probs I'm told by the manager. Booked, went back and had a pretty bloody good session TBH.
Fuck knows what was going on - I think I was just being pressured to book the old ugly cow? But why then let me walk out so easily? Weird. It is a generally badly managed joint I think.
Anyways....
