The girls here clearly get a base fee per booking, for a 'basic' service. They then negotiate for extras on top of this, which doesn't seem to involve the shop management at all.....

Exactly...how much cheaper do you want? The girls would still have to hand over x amount to the receptionist anyway.

Every fee consists of two parts, what the owner of the shop gets to cover his/her rent, power, cleaning, and profit, then what the girl gets for her labour and time.

As we all know, many brothels advertise this on their websites. A room hire fee plus a girl's fee.
They often do it for legal reasons so they (shop owners) are not treated as providers of sexual services. The girl is self-employed and she is the one doing it.

If you're new to the brothel, chances are you'll be asked to pay in advance. Doesn't seem to me there's any difference between paying the desk or paying the girl. If you're unsure of what will be offered to you, simply ask before you "buy" regardless of where you pay. If you're a repeat, then everybody should be on the same page.

In MP's, there's the massage fee and you're paying for individual services.

In brothels, you're paying for time, not individual services. Pretty much understood that everything up to and including FS is available; what you avail yourself of is up to you. Good luck with trying to negotiate a cheaper rate if you're not utilizing FS - you're still taking her TIME, and time for you is time lost on another potential punter.

My understanding why certain punters prefer brothels over MP's, there's no negotiation. If there's any doubt, speak to the provider directly. If the shop says no... well, plenty of other shops. And if they do say no, I'd say a good chance you're (2nd person plural) is seen as a "lookie-lou".

I know a place where you pay the shop money to the receptionist and the lady’s money direct to her in the room. Pretty sure they leave you to shower and put their bit somewhere safe.

If you want to go cheaper than this, you should probably start looking in the streets. Last time I checked the markets really dry out there, you could find a gem under the bridge but that will depend on how lucky you are.
