Wechat Sign Up help

I deleted my wechat account a couple of years ago and when trying to sign back up it's now saying I have to have another wechat account scan a QR to verify.

Anyone able to help out? Once I'm signed up I'd be happy to help others do the same

Seems to me, rather than asking a forum full of strangers for one to vouch for you, it'd be easier to just visit an Asian regular and ask her for help. As she knows you, should be easy enough.

That's what he's trying to do, open up a NEW account. Not like the old days, now you need a current member to "verify" you, a human CAPTCHA (when you have 1.3 billion members, easy to use humans rather than automation) (so says the original helpful guy who knows what he's talking about)... Just sayin'

Wechat, don't leave home without it. Saves the plaintive wailings of "Whatever happened to...", along with reducing shop double bookings or other screwups... IME, YMMV.

Yeah I don't have any regulars as I took a long break and moved. Thought it was worth reaching out. Can understand people being cautious about helping with this though
