I dont normally use cash for everyday purchases, but I know what notes I have in my wallet. So I last pulled notes from it at the start of a visit on Tuesday morning.
In checking my notes this morning, I notice I'm missing a $100 note. This sticks out as I dont often have them.
Whats the best way to approach the shop to check if it was stolen?

Yeah that's good as gone
I always hide my wallet on the inside jacket pocket and put it at the bottom of the clothes basket.

Go to the shop. Stand outside the front door. Look up to the sky and wave bye-bye. Then just write it off as a lesson learned.
Myself, I take the money out of my wallet, count it in front of the girl, put it in an envelope, seal the envelope, sign the seal, then tape it. After we're done, I open the envelope and count the money in front of her. Never had a problem. Or you can just be careful. IME, very uncommon.

Stolen ? Lost ? Or?
Two days has passed . Chain of custody, no more. . So has your opportunity to point a finger- except at yourself
As said by bravo .. uncommon occurrence
However more common would be punters pretending to send money by PAY ID or even trying to pass of fake bills . Both of which recently happened to women i know.

.. or possibly stuck to another note when you gave at the visit . Regardless unless you're positive that's where you lost it , making accusations with the shop achieves nothing , just put it down to carelessness on your behalf

Just missing a note ? Most probably it wasn’t stolen, you just forgot where it’s gone.
In punting, I never leave my belongings out of my sight, if going into the shower, I’ll make sure we get in together and I come out first.
The money is as good as gone whether or not it was taken or misplaced. If you like the shop and regularly attend then I’d forget about it. $100 isn’t worth the time waste and potential money loss on a dud somewhere else

Cash behind phone in the case. Phone in a zipped pocket in my jacket or hoodie. Never had an issue.

Unfortunately you cannot prove she did it. You learned a somewhat expensive lesson but for many people it's MUCH more expensive so thank your lucky stars for that.

Leave wallet in car, buy an old school money clip on ebay and put cash in that. When you whip it out, the receptionist and girls look at you like you're Tony Soprano.

Have a chewed up unlit cigar in your mouth for added effect!
