Have not seen any information about which shops are open from now until the new year.

Surely lots of OPs want some relief over the holidays?

LetÂ’s encourage the shops to let us know

Wouldn't expect it to be different to any other year.
Some shops will close Christmas Day but for the most part it's business as usual every day.
I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding someone to give you a festive handjob.

IME the more pertinent question is which providers are working. Knowing the Godless heathen PRC's (and their work ethic), many will be around. Thais, certainly heathens, but any excuse for a party, but that can happen later. And those on short time visas won't let any day go by without making money.

Speaking as an expat, away from family, any holiday is just another day to make more coin.

Out west 22 Rydalmere and 45 Granville websites say they're open throughout

Both ginzas closed but No 5 Marrickville open all public holidays they said. Those are the only three shops I frequent so no idea about elsewhere.

FYI, a girl at Tokio said they’re open on Christmas.

Roster for N5M has got 27 starters on it. Includes a few legends also. Amazing 😎

N5M is pretty good, only been there a handful of times though, but they have a lot of positive reviews on here too. I mainly only go to Ginza or N5M (which is closer to where I live). Ginzas always closed during christmas/boxing day period (They must be doing really well $$$). Sakura and Kyoto also open, but that place is a bit hit and miss for me, more of a last resort. Not sure about other decent shops open.

Not really surprising if you've been an expat.

Judging from my WeChat feeds, a number of the shops are open and staffed. Some reductions - always a tradeoff: reduced demand vs nothing better to do...

Understand your observations. My amazing came from the total number at N5M. Pretty sure there isn't enough rooms to go round even with the hourly staggering of the WL's. I messaged 2 girls and the responses shade a little light. One was not going out because of Bondi and felt saver at work and the other didn't want to have to cook and clean up after Xmas lunch. Both believed they wouldn't be busy. 😎

Point taken. Just like we all do - go hang with your coworkers... yak and blab around the water cooler, tell war stories, talk about your common country, and share some food.
