A friend of mine just told me that he has caught genital herpes earlier this year from punting and now has genital warts as well, also through punting. He told me he wasn't sure if he has had them for a while and not shown symptoms or caught them recently from his recent encounters.

Anyone here caught any of these before or heard of anyone that has? How common is something like this? I've been punting for years and haven't caught anything but have heard of friends catching stuff, but this is the first time I've heard of a friend getting either warts or herpes.

Caught this once from massage parlours:

Molluscum Contagiosum: A viral skin infection that causes small, pearly bumps.

Doctor at sexual health clinic used liquid nitrogen to freeze these bumps off, as they wouldn't heal on their own no mater how long i waited.

Many have. But I doubt any will admit it on a forum 😂

That’s why I don’t dabble with BBBJ anymore. CBJ and CFS only for me. Been punting for almost 10 years now.

UTIs are no more common for gay people that do anal as they are for straight people that do anal. Any given female rectum is just as bacteria-ridden as any given male rectum.

Also, always piss as soon as possible after sex/bbbj to reduce (but not eliminate) chance of UTI.

Well said, also switching back and forth from a to v can cause havoc on a girls flora balace. Tbh anal is way overrated

Caught a nasty UTI before. Kept thinking about that WL everytime I took a piss and was in agony. My only regret was I didn't fuck her harder.

Supposedly UTI are more common in females, rarer in men. And HPV can also be asymptomatic.

All that said pretty sure I got soap in "my eye" from over vigorous nob washing from WL at Ginza last week. Stung to piss afterwards but all fine soon after. Soap can really sting.

Herpes would suck, you have it for life. Feel bad for ya mate, did he not see any sores when he engaged with this lady? ik there is asymptomatic shedding but chances are significantly lower.

He said he doesn't know who he caught it from but he suspects. What's weird is that he got warts and he doesn't know from which girl. This was because he said he didn't have sex for months and then got the warts.

This made me wonder how common these things are. I've never heard of anyone getting herpes or warts from punting.

Never got those, but I did once rip the condom off and blow in a WL’s ass (I asked first) and got gonorrhea.
Wasn’t pleasant. Had pain in my knob and started to ooze puss.
Visit to the sexual health clinic and 2 shots later and it was sorted. But never again will I be unprotected.

I know there are a couple of punters here who got genital warts/molluscum from punting.
None of them mentioned seeing warts on the girls or being able to pinpoint when they got it because you can get infected but not start showing actual warts weeks to months later.

I think herpes is worse in that it's just as easy to catch and can be asymptomatic your entire life - ie not show signs, which means you can unknowingly infect everyone anyway.

Either way, even though they don't/can't test for herpes/warts, everyone should get STI checks regularly, and first place to go if you do see any symptoms is a fucking doctor, not to an internet forum.

Anyone considering BBFS pr wanting to quit punting should read this thread. If you take risks it's only a matter of time before it catches up with you it seems.

I'm no doctor, but with STD's transmitted via urethra, condoms do offer protection. But given herpes and warts are transmitted via skin contact, a condom isn't going to protect your balls.

So BB increases risk, but the only SURE protection is abstinence.

Doesn't have to be BBFS for herpes/genital warts - any skin-to-skin contact can spread it.
And BBBJ + CFS still equals 'unprotected sex' and has just as much risk.

Point is: if you want zero risk, don't punt.
If you are going to punt, get tested regularly.

Unsure if I had the same or not. Originally a small bump under the foreskin, thought it was a pimple. Then one day it popped and instead of pus it was bleeding. Then it looked more like cauliflower. Went to get it checked out and doctors said it’s genital warts. Prescribed Aldara cream and been using it for a couple of months. Feels like I’m playing whack a mole. The smaller ones are disappearing but the original bigger one doesn’t seem to be getting any smaller and likely constantly spreading/causing new spots. May need to ask if freezing it is an option. Prescription did say to stop treatment after 18 weeks.

I suspect I got it from bbbj or pussy slides, but hard to pin point since it was about a month after last visit before I noticed it. Luckily test results came back negative. HPV is so common they don’t bother testing for it unless you specifically ask for it. Doctor even said it possible I was a carrier before without having any symptoms and now only just developing warts. Can really be trigger by something as simple as stress so who knows when or where I got it from.

If you are going to punt, get tested regularly. Twice a year for the past 10 years or so.

Twice a year for the past 10 years or so.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's better than 95% of the people here.
They recommend every 3 months if you have multiple partners, which everyone here qualifies for.

I can understand places like Japan and Philippines having rises in STI cases year by year because they have poor sexual health education, but insane to see rising cases here in Australia. Then again, seeing the lack of knowledge from a lot here, I guess it's just the resources are available here, but no one is bothering to learn.

The original bump did spread for me as well, and the bumps felt itchy. Scratching was spreading them around.
I needed 2 rounds of blasting them with liquid nitrogen to kill all of them. Very contagious, u need to change bath towel often and do not let others use it.

Cauliflower growth sounds like warts, which is a different thing.

I agree Cauliflower growth sounds like warts and do not fuck around with creams have them taken off with liquid nitrogen

Agreed. Unfortunately, seems a GP is inclined to just write a script for the cream (perhaps for convenience, perhaps trying to save you money). For the freezing option, that's a referral to a specialist, dermatologist, who does the freezing. Decades ago, freezing was the primary treatment. Now, seems to be cream. I'd push for the referral. Relatively quick (probably 2 visits, 1 initial, then a check, and maybe another freeze just to be sure). The cream is multiple self applications, daily over weeks...

Those small reddish scaley spots that skin cancer doctors freeze off, they use an aerosol can for a second with what I presume is liquid nitogen in it. I began this post going to suggest we could all do this ourselves easier and cheaper by getting a can of it ourselves until I wondered (and just researched) that the spray cans only last few weeks until it boils off through the very small vent of a loose lid. If it didn't have venting it would explode as the gas built up inside. The very boiling of the nitrogen is what keeps it cool enough to stay liquid. ie, cooling by evaporation.
