Not really, VPNs are quick! Most VPNs allow you to pick the location of the proxy server. For example, if you want to watch pornhub, just pick a server in NZ or Singapore and it'll be fine. You won't notice the slow down at all.

Just to clarify my own post .... I tried logging in to eporner without my Norton 360 VPN turned on. So it was clear my IP was Australia.

When I switch my Norton 360 VPN on I can choose the country I want my IP address to be eg New Zealand ...no issues with logging in without age verification.

You don't travel? There's more to a VPN than porn access. Gets you past the Great Firewall, past ME blocks, AND I'd strongly suggest using one when you connect to your personal (financial, social) accounts via a hotel's or coffee shop's wi-fi.
