State of the current art: second phones vs multi sim

Hey brainstrust. In order to be discreet from my partner, I use a second phone for all my punting purposes. It's my 'work phone' and because of the nature of what I do, she has zero interest in it. I'm also very careful and I leave notifications off, leave it in my bag, etc.

It's almost time to upgrade my regular main mobile, and I've never had a multi SIM phone. Do any of you manage punting / mistress secrecy using a muti SIM phone? What's the best strategy and tips for staying undetected? Or am I better off keeping a second physical handset despite it being more inconvenient?

Thanks in advance to all of you that will chime in with 'don't punt if you have a partner etc etc' but that's not helpful, so don't bother please. :)

I believe multi Sims still save on the phone. So if a message comes through and even if you've switched numbers it'll still be saved on your phone.

Probably still better off with the second phone I reckon.

2nd phone. Never know when she may be looking at yours if a message or a phone call comes in for the other number whether it's an E Sim or 2nd Physical SIM.

If you can keep the 2nd phone in a locked desk at work, organise your punting from there and turn it off and lock the drawer when you leave for the day.

I would advise a second phone, but not your work phone.

Depending on your work place policy, they may audit your logs and give you warnings for personal related use. Rare for this to happen, but its clean.

Get a Pixel with Graphene OS installed with no sim and run it only through free wifi at a shopping centre or other hotspot but not where you frequent.

Set it to auto wipe after a set number of logon attempts or hours of inactivity. Leave it turned off when not using it and keep it in a faraday bag.

three phones here....

I actually have a dual headset/earbuds arrngement and use 2 separate phones for work.
one of those phones uses a esim-sim card so all my esims don't go on a phone, but a special esim card which can be moved as required between phones.

I then have a 3rd punting phone. This 3rd phone gets backed up periodically and is esim capable. travelling internationally it gets wiped before travel and upon arrival reloaded. you never know about authority looking at phones and what you don't want to be seen.

a complete phone backup on a microsd and an esim-sim is tiny and easily physically destroyed if required.
