yup thats me. not sure if i'm a sad sod.
I feel you. Everytime I think I'm done the ARs pull me back in.
Not two decades but I think I've been around for almost 8 years.

Me. Over two decades. I first came across it in the 90s. In those days it was more closely moderated and I got banned, along with others, for a robust political discussion. The forum was great back then as a source of information, because few shops or providers had a web presence, and it was full of genuine reviews.

Not 2 decades, but one and a bit.
Here's a real test. Does anyone remember Trev's Directory?

That's historically interesting, and funny.
Given this, briefly, what was the "robust" political discussion about?
What also where the specific sins the participants were all guilty of that resulted in a mass banning? Racquet abuse? But not confined to racquets?
As you are an original and primary source for this mass banning event, probably the only mass event of its kind in the forum's history, you might even remember the very insults that flew - both yours and others. :shout: The invitations to meet even.
What was your forum name then?
Maybe we could reignite the debate and see if it again results in a mass casualty event.

Given the decade, I’ll take a stab and guess that the debate was about whether Australia should become a republic. Bro was a rabid monarchist.

I can’t remember the specific argument but you’re probably right it had something to do with Howard and Murdoch with their reactionary agenda against social inclusion and the environment.

This forum might be like chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US. If you haven't been banned at least once you haven't been in business. :shout:
