It was 15 v 11. The ref, linesmen and VAR were atrocious and blatantly bias. Apparently, Trump was pressing the buttons in the VAR cox.

I don't think he had the match officials in his pocket, but I do think he had our coach in there. How could he possibly explain why he didn't play both the 2 goalscorers in the first half? With no sign of injury or what not to boot!

If you think that was brutal you should watch the South American qualifiers. It's all brutal and all the teams need some warrior mentality along with class. Spain definitely deserved the win, but for 105 mins they looked like the old Spain we knew from before 2008. All "tiki taka" with no teeth, can't score goals. The worst was when Oyarzabal had the goal wide open just outside the penalty area, didn't shoot and tried to make another pass into the area. Or that unbelievable Merino missed header.

They were very close to having to do it through penalties and their record at that is awful, especially in the WC. 1-4 to the worse, more likely to lose than win. Portugal knew that, so did the Argies, so they tried to push them to penalties. They're like magnets for boring goalless games, Spain, loll
