A woman trafficked from Indonesia into underage sex work in Australia has shared her ongoing trauma as two men await sentencing for the “planned and sophisticated” scheme...
https://archive.md/dF2Xn
I believe the ones that are brought in would have experience in the industry, how else would you find them?
Apparently worked at 3 places here.

I reckon it's much more common than you think. Non-sex workers that is. I read once how girls in poor villages are paid to recruit their friends with tales of jobs offshore in relatives' restaurants etc.

Then once here, they're raped, beaten etc if they defy their "agents". Terrible predicament.

I really hope this doesn’t happen in the “legit” / licensed shops but it’s impossible to know. Maybe it’s even impossible for the shops to know as I don’t know how their recruitment works or the checks they run?

It’s disgusting to do this to any woman but especially with an underage girl. I suspect this could deservingly turn into a decent prison term for these clowns.

WADR, I'd say the opposite more likely, no industry experience, like Punt2Win says. Brought in from the villages with promises of work as maids, cleaners, waitresses... then...

Even if "experienced", immaterial. They are CONTROLLED. Arrive in a strange city, strange language, passport taken away for "safekeeping". They have debts to pay: that plane ticket isn't free. Accommodation expenses (no choice as to where they live), food expenses (not their choice), and those debts keep adding up and up, payments withheld from their earnings. A ledger is kept, but they can't see it...

Where do they go for help? Police? Sure, in OZ land, but coming from a different country where LE might not be so honest, can LE be trusted here? Probably chauffeured from home to work to home. Their "contracts" can even be sold when in-country, from one "agent" to the next, with a new work place and accommodation, new environment to disorient. Even if they get out, who will protect the family back home from the debt collectors sent to collect that unpaid debt.

Imagine you take a job in "Where-the-fuck-istan", arrive on a plane in a strange city, you don't speak the language, and the signs don't have English. Sure you can fight your way out, but what if there's more of them than you? Your passport is taken. No proof of identity. You don't know where you are, your mobile doesn't work, and has also been taken for safekeeping.

Oz is safe, other places in the world, not so much. An environment where prostitution readily exists, but is TOTALLY ILLEGAL, for both punter and provider, BOTH subject to arrest. As long as it stays "quiet", no problem. But when there are problems, there's an "incident"... all are criminals and will experience the local judicial system. And obviously, you're guilty, because if you weren't there, there wouldn't have been a crime.

Finally, consider this for the poor young lady. Just consider the attitude of I'd say the majority here. "Great to fuck, but NEVER marry". What do you think the attitude will be "back home"? A compassionate, sympathetic attitude, or "damaged goods", loss of face for her and her family, life OVER?

Unfortunately, it's NOT just in the movies.

Trafficking - life without parole.

I guess you're both right, I just couldn't envisaged in 2026 with social media so entrenched that bright eyed village girls could still be hoodwinked.

Those with some awareness that sex work is involved are also duped about the conditions (debt bondage, violence, confiscated passports, inability to leave, legal age requirements, etc. once here

WADR, like me, you're privileged, living in a Western country with robust social services. Third world, poor, dim future, family in need, and you're offered a dream... "Here's a winning lottery ticket..." You're on a dying Merry-Go-Round, why not take a chance to grab that brass ring... encouraged by (scamming) fellow countrymen... Too easy for us to say, "why didn't you know?"

Again, no disrespect.

Apparently worked at 3 places here.

From the article:
"Defence lawyers argued his moral culpability was lowered because the girl was already a sex worker in Indonesia and had signed a contract before departing. However, prosecutors countered that as a child, she was legally unable to consent."

So, in this case at least, the girl was already a worker albeit an underaged one. It doesn't mean that all girls brought in are from the industry though, but I have a feeling most of them would be.
Surely it would be easier for the agents to source girls from the industry rather than go out actively looking for non-WGs to trick into doing this work. What benefit does the operator get from doing that? It's not like they can openly advertise "hey look, we've got this girl that was tricked, no industry experience, we charge you 3X premium".

At the end of the day, I reckon this stuff happens very often, agents recruiting girls from Asian countries. Where do you think we get all these Asian ladies working in Sydney from?

But every once in a while, we get a case like this. Agent either fails to do all the checks and balances, is tricked into thinking a girl was not underaged, or knowingly brings the underaged girl here. Then it hits the news.

Hmmm whats the point of dropping this bombshell "Apparently worked at 3 places here" if you're not gonna name the shops? It starts becoming a game of chinese whispers and having ppl guess the shop/s which usually dont end well with rumours.

I've dated a WL from a popular shop and she's told me the brothel don't do visa checks. The industry is seedy and rotten with no checks and no enforcement from the immigration bureaucracy. But on a side note, this entire country in every key facet is rotten anyway.

Which is EXACTLY why you should be voting for Pauline Hanson and One Nation as Labor has allowed immigration to be far too easy and out of control. It's clear that now is the time to no longer pick from the traditional 2 parties. We need a paradigm shift in our country. Unfortunately election date is still 2 years away.

Because right now as it stands it's hilariously gobsmacking easy to just get a tourist visa to come to Australia THEN switch to a student visa and work in the brothel. And if the student visa application fails you can then switch to a pending protection visa which the department then grants a temporary stay visa called a bridging visa a/b/c, and this is where the Australian bureaucracy is hilariously useless, enabling an extreme ease for any WL to game the system, the the protection visa takes many many years to finalise. Aka reject, so they use those many many years available to look for someone to give them PR. Its hilariously foolproof. And you really only have the bureaucracy to blame here. Don't hate the player.

The bureaucracy has become effectively useless and, i too have personally noticed, growing increasingly overwhelmed. Its buckling under its own weight. Everything is taking longer than it used to be.

And it's not a difficult problem to solve. It starts with parliament and we need a government with a significantly stronger anti-immigration stance to counter balance the damage done by letting in migrants here. We all had a glimpse of what Australia could be during covid where immigration came to a halt and life actually became easier for the average Australian.

So you have WLs or handlers who games the system and brothels complicit by not doing the checks that a legal business should and the bureaucracy is too overwhelmed to do anything about it because it can only allocate its resources only for worst cases e.g. this news article. But make no mistake, the industry complicit.

It's honestly an illegal network capitalising on NSW being completely legal with sex work. For example, it's literally impossible to just bring those Japanese WLs straight to Australia on a foreign workers visa. You would have to arrange them to say they're working in a job that allows them to be granted the worker visa AND THEN once they come here they go straight into sex work instead. And with said, the customer base is also complicit through demand and hence you have news articles like these lol.

The only reason the government legalised brothels is money because they pay over a million a year to council to maintain a permit. That's all our government cares about. So yeah, smell the roses.

When you see WLs with boyfriends or a husband or that guy who drives them to work, it all started as a PR visa arrangement. In saying so, the WL won't just pick anyone to give them PR, to them the relationship has to be capable of being or at the very least come across as genuine otherwise they risk not being granted PR but if they feel they're not going to get PR they can call the police and file a domestic violence complaint against the sponsor and boom she gets PR through family violence provisions.

Ever since i went back to Chinese workers it's truly insane how often the topic gets brought up to me. Think about it, Australia is the easiest country to get rich for anyone who works hard enough. In China, you wouldn't be able to save anything. But again this only benefits the immigrant because they send the money back to their home countries. It's not like you can do the same thing as an Australian resident. They make $5k a week untaxed.

So yeah, the current system freaking loves immigrants

Basically less migration plus more assimilation, both of which are just as important.

With regards to migration, stricter migration will also disincentivise migration related exploitation as per the Nixon Review.

With Gina Rhinehart's backing, the country's wealthiest person and with the current dissatisfaction with our traditional 2 political parties, Pauline Hanson's One Party will finally have a real shot of winning our next election

I wasnt going to get involved in this thread but here I am now lol better clear some things up. I speak from my experience from what I have done myself and what I see with my own eyes. I owned 48 kellett street at one point, worked in high end Western shop and worked in asian shops as reception and manager. Western shops for hiring girls are very strict, girls come in for interview, they must provide a recent health check, ABN number, and proof of ID without these they can not start work. Hiring reception, managers or security similar process come in for interview and just like any other normal job, bring bank, super, tax file number and any other forms that are needed you are an employee of the business a working girl is a sole trader who rents the room from the business hence for the ABN number. Asian shops, now since most of the girls come from overseas the correct visa will be needed most apply for working holiday Visa but every country has different application process some easy some are not. For Japanese people the process is very easy and can be approved in two hours, the main requirement is that they must have $5000 in their bank account. They do not need a job lined up before they come, they can come here on holiday and look for a job while they travel, they just need to provide proof they have enough funds to support them while they are here looking for work for the length of the visa. Everytime I hire a Japanese girl she must send me a copy of the approved visa before she gets on that plane because immigration do come and they do checks from time to time but as we can see from the recent news not all shops do this.

"The only reason the government legalised brothels is money because they pay over a million a year to council to maintain a permit. That's all our government cares about. So yeah, smell the roses"

We are in N.S.W, so yeah the building must have a sex service licence to act as a brothel. Every shop in Sydney has a different set of rules for the DA. Some are fucking stupid I remember kellett street had 6 rooms but by law I could only have 5 sex service workers on the premises at a time. Anyway there is no million dollar a year application fee even Q.L.D doesnt do this anymore and when they were it was never a million a year.

I really hope this doesn’t happen in the “legit” / licensed shops but it’s impossible to know. Maybe it’s even impossible for the shops to know as I don’t know how their recruitment works or the checks they run?

ItÂ’s disgusting to do this to any woman but especially with an underage girl. I suspect this could deservingly turn into a decent prison term for these clowns.

Yeah look I dont think its huge in Sydney but probably bigger than you think. The whole industry has been sleezy from the begining till now and I think you would be surprised at what other fucked up shit some of the legit shops get away with. Will be interesting to see what comes from this or if anything happens at all.

You guys argue with this individual on this forum thinking that you're "winning" a debate, but there's actually nothing to win. Just ignore, stop engaging with him and it'll pass.

Like I said, I’m genuinely curious about what Hanson fans think she’s actually going to do in a practical sense other than a vague “cut immigration” slogan. He seems to consider himself quite the intellectual so I thought he might attempt an actual considered response. My bad.

And ain’t no “winning” in this cesspit.

do you think the girl mention is Hazel from n5m ? she was from indo and I can no longer see her being rostered

Is the only connection you're making is that she's also Indo, or do you have any other evidence or suspicion she's underage or trafficked?

😂😂For a split second i thought the same thing to.

Ive got hazels personal number and she informed me she is going throught something in her personal life and thats all we need to know.

The girl is like 26, goes on holidays quite regularly amd ive seen the pics of her and friends overseas so i dont think her movements is restricted by some trafficker

I never dated a WL but have spoken to many about men who try to date them.

The most frequent comment these WL said was they think these men who try or do date are "low value men".

Think about that for a minute.

The WLs are high maintenance items to keep as "girl friends"

Only wealthy businessmen could afford to do that.

One married man paid for the WL's weekly rent to be able to spend every Sunday with her.

I don't know what he tells his wife about his regular absence from home every Sunday.

Maybe going back to office to catch up with paper works?

A woman trafficked from Indonesia into underage sex work in Australia has shared her ongoing trauma as two men await sentencing for the “planned and sophisticated” scheme...
https://archive.md/dF2Xn
I believe the ones that are brought in would have experience in the industry, how else would you find them?
Apparently worked at 3 places here.

If she looks underaged to you. Run.

Several years ago all the punters of an underaged sex worker were rounded up by police including a Singapore man from a wealthy and reputable family.

The Indo CEO/Batman was jailed, doesn't seem long enough:

Subekti was sentenced in the District Court to six years and five months’ prison, with a non-parole period of four years and five months. Valentino was sentenced to two years and eight months behind bars with release on a good behaviour recognisance release order after one year and 10 months

and been a long standing investigation since 2022:

Whispers of an Indonesian sex-trafficking ring helmed in Sydney sparked years of painstaking evidence gathering.

In December 2022, the AFP officially launched Operation Mirani. Leads gained through work with agencies including the Australian Border Force and Indonesian police led them to one man: so-called “Batman”.

What is also concerning in that article is that 20 Sydney brothels were investigated/raided so it looks like it may be quite systematic or widespread.

Don't know if it was about that specific girl, because the one in the article, was from Indonesia and that person you are referring to was allegedly Egyptian Australian according to website/reviews, but it looks like it could have been related, as they went to a lot of places more than 20 according to the smh article.

Definite turn off from attending in future when shops are allegedly involved in these kind of allegations.

I was talking about the Egyptian one cause she's was there of her own freewill (aparently).

I suspect the police checking 20 venues was a wide casting net to catch any girl working under-age or victoms of trafficking

Free will at 16 years old is quite different to an adult.

"Police allege that several victims were involved in the ring, working across 20 brothels and under many criminal members, but their prosecution related to one victim who came forward." Sounds a bit more than just casting a wide net.

For any sex workers who may come across this thread and need help.

If you, or someone you know, is being unfairly mistreated—whether it's workplace harassment, not being paid for services, or any other work-related issue—please reach out to the people at https://swopnsw.org.au/

Their service is safe, confidential, and specifically there to support sex workers. You don't have to be intimidated by the bullying tactics that some businesses use. There are people who can help and support you.

In today's climate policies, plans, details and promises are as useless as a used franger - Every election, these cunts roll out a shopping list full of plans and promises just to get a vote and once elected they'll wipe their arse with the policy and plan and flush it quietly. The cunt you elected has broken promise after promise....so you might as well stick the details where the sun don't shine.
