Hey Guys, wondering do most these parlours have ATM’s or is it best to get cash before hand? Concerned that I wouldn’t have enough cash if I get it before hand.

Its annoying because yeah sometimes you get in there and they surprise you with the cost of extras.

I go cash.

I always have 20’s, 10’s and 5’s amounting to $100 then three 50’s in the visible part of my wallet so when I pay the shop fee and they do the look into your wallet they don’t get greedy and keeps payment to standard rates usually. Have made the mistake previously of having too many visible and they immediately want all the cash in the wallet for a substandard fs. If we click then I can pull more out but keeps the bartering (usually) to a minimum.

To be honest, this is one of the very few instances where i only use cash. As above take $350 with you. Have different denominations with you, have only part of it visible in the wallet.

I suggest that this is a mistake on your part, not counting your money right. Or your memory is hazy since she hasn't been there for about 18 months.

I never had any trouble with that particular ML (or any at that chain) and saw her from before Covid lockdowns (starting at Anytime).

To the rest of your post, it's just common sense no matter where you are. Don't leave valuables so people can take advantage.

Anyway, this alleged anecdote of yours is somewhat off track to what the OP intended.

It's not off track. OP is a newbie asking about bringing cash and this guy is urging caution. Some parlours have showers in a separate room and it's not always practical to have your valuables on you when she's guiding your naked ass down the main corridor.

As others have mentioned, it's a good idea to have some cash kept somewhere outside your wallet.

Why $300? well some magic doors can be opened at that level. Or some that won’t at $250 who think they are worth more than $250 suddenly feel special enough at $300. Or for unprotected services if available at a higher price or if she will wash you car afterwards, who knows?

I would recommend 5 Star and Touch and their associated shops. But $300 if used with discretion and not throwing it out for less than you want should get you far. But it takes discipline to not go for lower options.
As for not punting, is there a reason?
