Can Punter Planet be trusted anymore for reviews?

I noticed they removed Petra Fox's reviews. She was VERY disliked from what I remember. Can WL ask the site to remove reviews of them?

Strange you bring this topic to another Forum to discuss it. Why not ask the question on PP? A very strange title you choose, based on your actual post.


Anyway, PP always had criteria for reviews / information to be removed. This includes breach of privacy, doxxing, requests by the authors, requests by the SP where it involves their safety (e.g. stalkers or threats). The criteria was well balanced and the moderation was fair.

Last year, a SW named Dallas Rayne, initiated court action against the owner personally (not the forum) and achieved an interim order against him until it could be heard. The granting of this order meant additional criteria had to be introduced to meet the order's instructions. Notification of this was posted on PP, but the legal team of the initiating party pointed out such notifications may be a breach of the Courts order (Magistrates level). So all mention of what is happening had to be removed from public view.

Further, a bunch of SPs jumped on the bandwagon, using this interim order as an excuse, to have their reviews / information removed from public view as well. Until the case is heard, the interim order has to be complied with.


I remember a thread or two on this site discussing this (and Dallas Rayne even posted in one). When I searched "Dallas" the results page initially showed "1-21 of 28" and then "Dallas Rayne" showed "1-2 of 3" (this one I ook a screenshot). A refresh of both searches resulted in a change of what was originally presented. So it appears a number of threads here about this has also been removed and the main thread has actually been locked for further comments.

I or others cannot discuss the matter publicly to comply with the interim order unfortunately.


As to the future? Well depends on the outcome of the hearing. If it's thrown out, things will return to normal over at PP. However, if it's found in DR favour, what is the normal atm, will be extended. Some fine tuning may be required depending on what the Magistrate actually decides. And of course, there's them the appeals process.

This site needs to take note of that decision. Whatever happens, things will probably have to change here. This site allows doxxing, privacy breaches, defamatory posts, threats, abuse and such - unlike PP. You just have to have SPs start similar campaigns against here. Then get other authorities involved like the E-Safety Commission. With their fines, running the site would not attractive.

This E Safety nonsense should never have been started. Intrusion into our freedoms by stealth run by a self righteous American. Looking after the well being of your kids is your job as a parent not the Governments. Same for this forum, if u don't want to b reviewed get out of this business.

After 6+ years on both PP and A99 forums, I've (understandably) become more alert to bogus reviews and claims.

I also feel that in the last 1-2 years the frequency of bogus reviews in the QLD section of both PP and A99 have increased dramatically. Increasingly you see scammers building a profile (often 3 or 4 simultaneously), to later review (falsely giving praise) their own scam profiles. There are other variations of this theme too. The percentage of real advertisements on sites such as E and B, Scarlet Blue, Real Babes appear to be falling quickly also.

But there are still many many trusted reviews. And for some SW'ers, many trusted reviews that concur the good performance of the SW'er. (aka an intended outcome of the forums)

Personally, I've ceased punting other than in reputable massage shops, as they have SOME level of quality control, and their service providers are much less immune to unfavourable reviews.

As for SW'ers who publicly 'hate PP' or A99... I don't remember even ONE of these people having positive reviews. So much so, that 'the hatred' is almost a correlation to poor performance. It's beyond belief that punters still spend money on these people. And to me, it seems most probable that the only punters that engage 'the haters', are punters who are unaware of such forums. (suggesting that these forums are indeed effective at 'outing' poor service providers, aka another intended outcome of the forums)

As for SW'ers wanting their reviews removed, I'm a bit 'here nor there' on this topic. As I see a lack of reviews being a damning statement. But I think if a SW asks for reviews to be removed, it should be a blanket approach.. IE ALL reviews should be removed, not only the unfavourable accounts. I also think that reviews that are moderated, and clearly show scam/criminal behavior must remain to effectively 'burn criminals'.

I do, although, concur with SOME of the claims made by 'the haters', particularly regarding posts that praise / promote predatorial behaviour, doxxing, threats, and posts that are unnecessarily cruel towards SWs (especially in circumstances where the criticism is rooted in the insecurities of the person making the remarks). I do think that PP is a LITTLE better than A99 in this regard, but not a lot.

I also think it's more than a tad unrealistic to expect a review forum regarding SW to be full of sanitised / socialised / politically correct / gender unbiased language. And, the people who do think this way are probably less well suited to being a SW'er.

PP and Aus99 are the same, check the profile history and make your own judgment
Best feature of both is the ignore function, I just ignore them and then no need to figure out if their reviews are very biased and over protective

I don't trust PP if they do remove reviews based on the SW's request, so why wouldn't I bring this to another forum?
