Credit card surcharges become illegal 1st October 26,

I wonder if the shop owners will adhere, I suppose they have no choice.

Loading 10pc for something that costs them 1-2pc was always red hot.

All rates increase 10%, then 10% discount for cash

The reason they charge 10% for card payments is they have to declare for gst when card is used
Not for bank fees

Wonder how many of these shops do tax returns and if so, honest ones.
ATO could have a field day if they chose to.
