Getting right to the point, in the Australian Red Cross Blood Service Donor questionaire form section C "Donor declaration" you are asked a number of questions. I have summarised for the ones most relevant to punting:
7. Had sexual activity with a new partner who currently lives or has previously lived overseas ?
11. Engaged in sexual activity with a male or female sex worker ?
18. Had a blood/body fluid splash to eyes, mouth, nose or broken skin ?
So anyone seeing non ABC FS asians fails 7!
I think all FS punters fail 11.
Anyone doing DATY or DFK fails 18, especially Rooter from his squirting session :)
So if you only see MLs and dont do the extras: DFK, DATY, FS, BBBJ, then it might be worth reading the rest of the 6 page form to see if you can give blood!
Has anyone given blood ?
One more thing to note, they will test your blood for STI's but if you give blood hoping to get a free STI test when you shouldn't have (by falsely filling in the questionaire) then you can be fined and/or imprisoned!

I was thinking that may be a good idea for another thread as I was writing this :)
But I reckon they would probably have the same questions ...

Well, Bro Ahlungor
Here is the information.
Who can be a sperm donor?
- The person donating sperm must be an Australian Resident
- If you are a healthy man between 25 and 45 years of age, you may be suitable to be a sperm donor.
- If the person donating sperm has a partner, they are also required to attend counselling sessions along with the potential donor.
Screening blood tests and semen analysis
Following the first counselling session the donor has screening blood tests, which include those for infectious diseases, some genetic screening and a semen analysis.
The results of these tests are reviewed and discussed during the medical assessment that follows.
Medical assessment
Each sperm donor has a consultation with a fertility specialist where the donor’s medical history, blood test results and semen analysis are reviewed.
Sperm donors are also required to complete a Genetic and Medical Health Questionnaire and Sperm Donation Statement, which are discussed during this consultation. If required, a clinical geneticist will review the Genetic and Medical Health Questionnaire to assess the donor’s suitability to provide sperm for the donor sperm program.

There is still a loophole for you bro :spook:
"You may already have children of your own and want to help others experience parenthood. Or you may not be ready to have a family of your own but want to make someone else’s dreams come true. You can also donate sperm to a relative or friend who is trying to conceive. In this situation, we may consider donors over 45 years of age."

I meant to say, in addition to the many holes where you can 'donate' your sperm without the government consent :cool2:

I donate regularly, and make a point to answer YES to q11. They take my blood and test it before using it. I'm not embarrassed about it and to be honest, it's an easy way to get tested for any STD. Also better than getting fined. They sometimes want to know when the last time was.
One strange test that I fail is that I've travelled in South America. Because of that, my red blood cells will never be used. So hen they draw my blood, it passes through a machine that separates the red cells from the plasma. Something to do with having been in a country that still has yellow fever.

Good point!
Did you know that there is a register that all Medcial centres, and I presume the Blood service, are obliged to update whenever anyone tests positive to an STI ?

I'm laughing my head off right now :haha:
Funny story. A colleague and I were in Singapore for business. He had never been outside of Australia before. Of course I took him to Orchard Towers. Suddenly I notice that he has gone. It took all of 5 minutes for him to get affected with such a case of Yellow Fever that after the trip he quit the job and moved to Singapore.
