Such a gloomy, miserable weather today. It makes you want to cuddle up with a nice girl, and that's pretty much what I decided to do.

yeah eyes might be a bit similar, I dunno. To me, that girl in your video doesn't really turn me on, but Snow definitely does. Snow's photo's now up (not her face, but the other bits are there) so at least you can now try remembering her from her body and hair!

Yes, thats right. I got only $12/h in the bakery and $13.75/h in the restaurant. I do pay tax though but my boss does all that tax work related, I only sign the paper and get cash at the end of every week. I think this is a very common thing for oversea students.

Well as far as I know one can do better even at fast food chain like Hungry Jack or McDonalds. I agree with you that even a check-out job at a supermarket is unrealistic for most oversea students, but my memory was that getting a job at fast food restaurants was easy enough - just to increase your time with Snow!:miao:

I tried to apply a position at KFC but no luck. From what I know they only hire under 18 to be a team member there as they could pay lower and for people over 18, only manager position is available and its hard to get, mostly is for local only.

Im not a really good student to be a tutor :sweat: I like baking, converse with people and working alone. I love my job right now, just that the pay is so low :( Also, If I work at chains like Oportos or some where like that I can only work 20 hours per week since they will follow the rules for the visa of oversea students.

Really? Im a movie nut, too. I got a budget mini theatre at home: 42 inches Panasonic 3D Plasma, Onkyo surround system, a HD player. I was thinking about buying a mini projector but I dont really have a place to hang the screen. I went to see World War Z today, its a good movie but doesnt give me lots of thought after. Well in mainland China, it's still fair to say that the majority can only speak Mandarin and not the other 2 languages. But the proportion of these people who go overseas are far less than the proportion of those who can speak Cantonese and "Chiu Chow (Chaozhou) language". As a result Cantonese seems to be internationally seen as a common language in China.

I personally find Cantonese to have a more beautiful tone than Mandarin. This might explain why many non-Cantonese Chinese people decided to learn Cantonese anyway.
