i watched this film last night "The Egyptian." And I thought I might share the bare plot of the downfall of the principal character Sinuhe (Michael Purdon) a young, idealistic and innocent physician, caused by VISITING A BROTHEL. So I am posting this cautionery tale in the right place!
This happens when his rough compatriot Horemheb (Vic Mature, my most favourite historical epic cheesey actor of all time) takes him to a brothel for a night's entertainment. Vic, as you can see, is right at home! He is one of us!

And it is not just any brothel. Because this one belongs to Nefer (Bella Darvi) who is literally the Whore of Babylon - because that is where she came from, and at the time her charms were taking Thebes by storm - they'd never seen anything like her.
Certainly innocent and idealistic Sinuhe hadn't, and he was soon well and truly under her beauteous spell.

In this one scene here for example, is summed up what simple creatures we men are, and what knowing creatures beautiful women are. He stares at her with the magnetic, burning eyes of predatory passion, whle she smiles knowingly to herself, knowing not only all of her own manipulative thoughts, but all of his single minded thoughts too. (Meanwhile the cat she is holding I'll bet knows just as much about the situation as her!)

On a suggested promise of sex, he ends up giving her the deeds to his house and all of his valuable medical instruments...and she still doesn't deliver for him! Next she hints she wants the deeds to his parent's house too and also the tomb they had prepared - thus denying them the afterlife - on a suggested promise of surrendering to him. Totally ensnared, he gives her these too, but she laughs in his face and has her slaves throw him out into the muddy street!

More happens because of his embittered soul, and he is now broke and asset free (and still with a full sac) but that is the bones of it.

Well I was checking out Merit's tits in this scene and then I was flabbergasted when, in this 1954 film, Sinuhe reached out to tweak one of those very tits!
