The troll was very active on the old forum, using a number of usernames associated with minor Shakespearean characters. His League of Rights nastiness is even too extreme for members of our current dysfunctional federal government - though it would seem that Abbott, Brandis and their mates are gravitating closer and closer to this hysterical form of hatred. The troll realises that even a forum such as this is useful to his political agenda.

But then he has to resolve his commercial interests. He got himself involved with the competitor to this forum; becoming a moderator and, as such, saw an advantage in disrupting this forum. But he also got himself involved in a number of shops and realised the benefit of advertising on this forum. You can easily identify his shops; he bumps the threads a dozen times a day. So he has a fundamentally contradictory agenda. He wants discussions so his commercial threads are read, but he also wants to tightly control these discussions according to his nasty ideology.

His simplistic solution is to troll. He uses a program that masks his IP address, allowing him to set up multiple usernames. And he has time. My guess is that this forum is his chief entertainment in life. He probably has it open all day and gets his thrills from goading users with the alternative characters he has assigned his various usernames. But the thing is that he is not all that smart; certainly not emotionally smart. He goads people but seems to have no idea how to react when goaded in response.

You might think CunningLinguist's efforts in exposing the troll are a waste of time. Far from it, I commend him for it. It is a social service.

It is the oldest trick in the book: to bounce accusations back without answer. CunningLinguist you are a true warrior against the nasty worldview of the troll.

To pantydropa, you may or may not be the troll, but you have certainly exhibited signs of a troll; as you have so humbly acknowledged. Thank you too.

If you are not just an incarnation of the troll then let's just say that it's better to kill the chicken to scare the monkey. But, given the language you use and the views you express it would seem you are the troll. In either case, I'll give you a bit of history.

The troll was very active on the old forum, using a number of usernames associated with minor Shakespearean characters. Online discussions were new and it was common for forum members to go into great detail. Invariably, the troll would end such discussions by posting some obscene photo, or rendering reviews or issues into juvenile poetry. He was just a pest. Then he cottoned on to how influential these discussions can be.

Just remember everyone the poet troll is the one who :
threaten to expose members to their employers. A number of members posted on the open forum that you did this, and here is a post by admin describing your actions. Remember this was when you were banned by IP and you couldn't even post for your shops anymore, your syndicate must have given you a slap on the wrist for this at a minimum.
