I used to love this place. Last 2 visits I believe I was attended to by Cyborgs. Not to mention a price increase to $80/hour. Is that an increase? I can't remember. Anyhow, I'll be looking for places where the practitioners better enjoy their work, rather than seeming as though they've blame you that they're not out having fun on a Friday night. Bummer. Mermaid seems to fit that bill.

I haven't been in last few weeks as my regular not working there but i spoke to owner a few weeks ago to learn that the happy dragon shops (5 all up on coast ) have all been sold as a business.
I was wondering if this would effect their future as the previous owner had built these shops up to be as good all round as they where and the girls used to speak highly of the owner and how they where treated by them.
So will be interesting to see what the future holds,quality of girls their attitude ect it will be a disaster if this stall wart of the punting scene goes down hill to sit along with the rest of the rank and file.

Indeed, I've stopped going to HD's, used to go to the one near the Broadwater.

Now I'm usually going to 23 Nind or their sister shop at Labrador (love that discrete, rear entrance) with no complaints so far.

Word I heard was that the new owner is Chinese and only interested in squeezing as much money out of the place as possible, whether it be in increased fees, screwing the girls down or cutting back on laundry expenses ...

Makes sense Flamejob then that quality will go down ,been going to HD chev since it opened when it was the owners only shop ,i think the fact that the owner paid the girls well and according to many of them over the years treated them good reflected in the level of service they offered to customers generally.

That depends on the culture you are dealing with. Western thinking won't always work with Eastern employees.

Someone made the point earlier on this subject on this board, that when the new owners came on board, the quality of service went down due to how the employees were treated. Guess what culture the employees are from? I've been an employer most of my life. I know what I'm talking about. Repeat Custom doesn't happen after poor service. Poor service is given from disgruntled employees, or simply from employees that aren't praised from time to time. It's you that doesn't understand. Predictably, you'll make this point - Asians are all about money, so they'll give good service if they're paid enough. Yet that comes under the category of - TREATING YOUR EMPLOYEES WELL.

I know a couple of owners and they regularly talk about how difficult it is to find new girls and keep the ones they have. Running a massage shop where you only have a handful of staff each day and numerous competitors around you is very different to running a multinational where you can just weed out the bad employees and easily replace them. Branson's theory works fine as a general rule, especially if you have the luxury of choosing your staff, but the reality is that massage shops are a different animal.

I also know a lot of MLs and they talk about how the girls interact with each other and with the owners. They often talk about generalisations based on country of origin. It isn't just a coincidence that different shops have staff predominantly from a single nationality, the owner usually tries to choose staff that they can easiest manage.

Then you have the issue of customers. It doesn't matter how well you treat your staff if an ML is tired of having fat smelly pervs trying to feel her up every second of the day.

Yes how you treat your staff will influence them, but it won't guarantee good customer service.

I used to frequent the HD, had some great times went there about 2 weeks ago and it was a very cold experience The girl was Vietnamese tall but as one of the brothers said cyborg. Have been using 166 Scarborough a bit, I got on we'll with the manager she told me it's hard to got good girls. She also told me about the guy's who get wrinkles taken out of it and when it's time to pay tell the girls they are going to call the police. It's $20 gee there's some ordinary humans out there. Now is there a establishment that is going to replace the HD. If any of the brothers have a good gig going on the Gold Coast pm please. Happy Punting
