Was Peta Credlin using mR abbot :)
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-03-05/ties-between-abbott-and-credlin-at-the-heart-of-their-downfall/7222970

Some quotes:

"Rightly or wrongly, the perception is that you are sleeping with your chief of staff. That's the perception, and you need to deal with it.

The MP recalled being invited to dine with Mr Abbott and Ms Credlin and watched Ms Credlin use her fork to feed Mr Abbott mouthfuls of food from her plate.
As the meal was ending the MP recalled Ms Credlin put her head on Mr Abbott's shoulder and said she was tired.

Personally I doubt it is true since I can't imagine how anyone could sleep with her ...

It would be a desperate girl that would want to sleep with him?

To be honest and IMO only I think Peta is a lot more doable than Mrs Abbott !!

It's the naivety that gets me. As Savva says, Abbott was told that a perception existed he was sleeping with Credlin. Politics is perception. Once a narrative is set it becomes nigh on impossible to shift. Abbott's wilfulness seems to have been the only reason he didn't bother to deal with the perception. Astonishing that he threw away the prime ministership over it. Just as Rudd and Gillard had earlier thrown away their terms with their own willfulness (Rudd with his silly spoilt brat behavior and Gillard with her refusal to countenance the power of the words she used). You'd think people in this position would have some basic common sense. Apparently not.

Politicians and leaders are usually surrounded themselves with very smart advisors ! A la my favourite show West Wing ! If only they would listen to them !!

In the voice of Abbot:

If I did not have an ego I would not be here tonight
If I did not have an ego I might not think that I was right
If you did not have an ego you might not care the way you dressed
If you did not have an ego you'd just be like the rest

Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Don't you believe what you've seen or heard

If Jesus had an ego he'd still be alive today
And if Nixon had no ego he might not be in decay
If you did not have an ego you might not care too much who won
If I did not have an ego I might just use a gun

Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Don't you believe what you've seen or heard

Some people keep their egos in a bottom drawer
A fridge full of Leonard Cohen
Have to get drunk just to walk out the door
Stay drunk to keep on goin'
So if you got an ego
You better keep it in good shape
Exercise it daily
And get it down on tape

Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Don't you believe what you've seen or heard

Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Don't you believe what you've seen or heard

Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Ego is not a dirty word
Don't you believe what you've seen or heard

Politicians and leaders are usually surrounded themselves with very smart advisors ! A la my favourite show West Wing ! If only they would listen to them !!

Many of these "advisors" have their own political or personal agendas to push.

Their advice is not always for the benefit of the politicians or their constituents.
