Coming Unstuck on WeChat

Four times now I have come unstuck on wechat with the girls I'm messaging knowing each other.


a) St Lucia uni student, lovely date at Sunnybank, dropped her home after not getting anywhere. While refilling at the local servo sent a few random messages to Nearby and chatted her housemate. Housemate and her were watching each others messages and I was trapped as a dickhead.

b) My two good friend WG whom sent me pictures together. hahah, still carried on with them.

c) Another two unrelated random Chinese girls, sent them they same picture and they must have discussed receiving. Both blocked me. :(

d) Two random Indonesian girls a year apart. 2nd girl (a year later) felt I looked too familiar. FIrst girl must have shared my pic before. I blocked this one as it wasn't going anywhere.

For those of you whom love systems, then my WeChat stories are interesting. Many of us are random individuals making contacts into a well connected group of mostly Chinese speaking girls. It's unlikely that I'm discussing my hits with my work colleagues but these girls are certainly sharing their contacts and adventures.

Actually I have had so much luck on wechat that it's still a daily app for me. My original post was about the times I came unstuck not my successes. As the well travelled image checker has attested there are lots of ways to come unstuck and mentions some other ways.

So, there are lots of advantages and I bring to attention the systematic problems...

a) As a western male, i'm an outside to the system.
b) Due to the proximity of Nearby, there are other risks to mixing closer (thanks image checker)
c) It Philippines it is well used by Ladyboys.

I havent used Wechat but Image Checker's story reminds me of a similar incident. I saw a Private ML with her (Aussie) bf. She saw me and looked shocked. When her BF noticed her reaction, She instantly and expertly covered it by frantically waving her hands about as though she were trying to shoo away an invisible mozzie. The look on her face and her behavior was priceless. Her BF fell for it and actually responded by shooing away "the fly" as well. What a gent.This was a girl that offered COF. Poor bastard.

Anyway, moral of the story: three years Brisbane Vs three hours Asia. Brisbane has a low ROI. I punted the rest of the trip, stopped using wechat.

Absolutely agree with that SEA verses Bris. But isn't that also just a reflection of the wider landscape anyways? A foreigner in any land is always the more exciting fruit.

When I travel in Asia now I use a disposable wechat account. I set up a new one for each trip, it fills with lots of new friends. I promote a few keepers to my regular wechat account and the then ditch the temporary one.

I certainly work wechat to good use in Phiippines.

I have been using wechat little over a year now. I scored only once in Brisbane when the girl was travelling from Melbourne. It was a good one :-) But that's all about it. I have tried countless without any success here. But when travelling via Thiland earlier this year, I got many contacts at the internationa airport. One girl even came and visit me at the airport. I am having regular chat with few. I guess next trip to Thailand would be good :-)
