hard to use wechat if can not read chinese.

I don't speak chinese at all and do well with wechat.

It is not as good as Sydney, but there are a few options there. Check the local newspapers, or even google to get some leads.

I can't speak/read chinese, but WGs on WeChat will usually have service hours displayed. And if you write in English, Wechat will translate the messages for them and v/v.

As Aussiegaigin said, it's got nothing on Sydney. I've been to a few rnt massages in warners bay, Waratah and Adamstown but they're nothing on the worst of Sydney. Check the Newcastle herald classifieds and there is a bit of fun to be had but Sydney shits all over it.

That being said, there are still surprises to be had, just like Sydney shops. There is a big uni in Newcastle, so probably a few Asian girls studying there and doing some part time work.
