Razer23 - like anything, it is about self control. If you eat Macca's every day, you'll get fat. If you get hooked on crack or speed, you'll probably die young and have a pretty crappy family life. Both of these examples though are extreme, but also highlight the fact that you won't be able to hide these addictions. It will pretty hard to hide your obesity and/or general state of constantly needing another hit.
With punting though, no one has to know. Your addiction so to speak can be managed well and you can still live a great life, get a great job, go to uni, all that jazz. I punt once every few weeks. Not too often, but enough to keep things exciting. I must admit that reading this forum doesn't help (Willisno is spot on). oddly once discovering this forum i actually saved money as it heavily reduces my chances of getting a dud punt.
