Scroll down to the bottom of your inbox and there will be a message saying your inbox in full and a "empty folder" link.
Click on that and then click OK to confirm you want to empty it.
Do the same for your "sent" folder
NOTE this will delete ALL your messages so if there are some message you want to keep then you will save them elsewhere.
If there are lots of messages you want to keep then you will have to delete the ones you don't want one at a time.
