Among them are a classical pianist with some international awards, a researcher with a PhD degree and published scientific work, a graduate of medical school, an insanely talented visual artist and graphics designer who almost made me cry when she showed me some of her works. Not to mention a number of them pursuing their masters degree in our unis.
And here they have to deal with our most primitive desires ......

Clearly an exaggeration.

For example most foreign masters degree students are merely doing it for some sort of a skills visa. The colleges/universities know this and offer foreigners a position as a money grab when the student wouldn't have a chance of getting admitted if they were a citizen.

I'd say that's the most likely outcome.
