The records would show that you got a "remedial massage", same as you would from any 100% legit shop. You don't get any rebate or recording for the extras.

My problem is with shops that aren't on the HICAPS network, and just give a receipt for you to make a manual claim. The refund would go into my wife's bank account, and she is sure to be asking questions when she sees it.

the thai shops that i know do extras charge more for the "remedial" option to claim back so whatever you claim back on your health fund gets cancelled out anyway.

The rebate from the health fund is the same regardless of how much the session costs. And you can only make one claim per day, so you can't split the bill.

Can't say I've come across that in a shop. The price has always been the same whether I claim or not.
