The South Amercian girls usually have a head start with the judges in these pageants. It might be just be my bias's, but the sheer exoticism I've seen of glimpses I've had of Miss Japan grab me more than the cookie-cutter caucs and South Americans.

The host has got the kitschiest, tackiest coat on I've ever seen. Ha ha. Adds to the mix.
I love how non- PC these pageants are. :miao: Are they only held in third world coutnries now, driven out by PC brigades?

I think the pageant is now focusing so much on intellectual and inner beauty rather than the basic obvious: beauty !!

It’s amazing to hear Miss Thailand speaks like perfect English with an accent! Quite a few of the top 20 are like lawyers !!! And so many of the South Americans were Not using the traditional interpretaters while belting out smooth and erotic Espanol but trying harder to speak English which might have brought to their downfall - just IMHO!

I didn’t rate the winner South Africa at all but then again , I’m not one of All Female judging panel - like seriously ! May be some male judges would maintain some more balanced views ?

Did anyone even saw our own Miss Australia or our Kiwi cousin ?

If Miss Porta Rico or Miss Mexico had won, they would have looked generically like everyone from the past 50 years that has won. Even so, it was shameless of Miss South Africa in her final speech to play the race card as a reason for her to win.

All female judging panel? That is far too PC.

BTW, just on the Miss Universe subject, you guys do realise that for the past two years, no genuine Aussie beach babe such as Jennifer Hawkins or Rachel Finch were representing us.

There was a Chinese girl in Francesca Hung in 2018 and this year, an Indian girl Priya Serrao !!

Sorry to say this, if these "political correctness" continue on, we will probably have a descendant from an African migrant flying our flag in 2020 ??

Of course there is nothing wrong to have a diversed culture but seriously, couldn't find a dinky di Aussie blonde babe in two years ??
