Something just went done at summerville. About 10 people standing out front, unless they have a 2 for 1 special for undercover cops

If it starts attracting any media attention better make sure you aren't in any of the shots

Ahhhh, the price of fame.

I hope they don't answer any of the stupid questions the police will ask!

About all in the first instance they can ask and you are compelled to provide, is name, address / licence

Anything else they ask, you give is a bonus .. to them ...

always exceptions to the rule

They even went to Summers home so not sure if it was just a council check

Don't need cops for a council check.

Maybe immigration, or something more serious.

Go down and join the party. Do some investigative reporting.

"We cross live to our reporter ClauseDD who is at the scene in Pyrmont. Clause, what is happening down there? Have any patrons been arrested? How are the girls coping? Has Summer made a statement yet?"

:spook: :spook: If only I've got access to little birds like Varys from Game of Thrones. Hopefully nothing bad happen to them, they are one of my favorite massage place.

Apparently they were using counterfeit massage oil and that just won’t be tolerated. The AFP would’ve been tracking these shipments for months before making a bust!

Council guys just bring the cops along for "muscle".
As long as there are no drugs, underage girls, and the shop owner doesn't get aggressive then the cops don't really get involved.

The shop appears to be still open. Friends of Summer told me the undercover cops went to her apartment first before going to shop. I hear lots of shops are being checked but it was more than a check from what i saw

Quite possible they are doing Covid compliance checks. They have been blitzing other establishments recently.

Only requirements are for a Covid Safe plan to be in place, a copy of which should be held on the premises and only 1 person per 4 square metres. A contact list is supposed to kept but that's only available to the Health Dept. under the Privacy Act.

That is exactly what they are checking on. Venues are being fined for this non-compliance

I wonder how many cops are needed to check a couple of pieces of paperwork?

Your taxes at work.

We don't know how many cops were there. But as well as "checking the paperwork", they would be inspecting the premises, making sure there are no last minute "adjustments" being made, looking at CCTV, etc.

One shop I've been to recently was not registering visitors and had very poor room hygiene.

Do any of them register visitors? I'm not so sure they do. Are cops trained in health and hygiene procedures ??? I doubt it! A field day for defence counsel. :D:D

(I assume you mean installed within the premises???)

Hell, I hope not, that's not a part of compliance and would be a breach of privacy for what is, after all, a legal activity. If there is CCTV on site and there are no signs clearly advising staff and customers then the shop is in breach on the WVS Act.

Anyhow, it's all speculation and we may never know.

Several hotels and restaurants have recently been issued with fines for crowding violations based on CCTV evidence, according to news reports. Cameras would be in reception areas and would show that customers are not signing in.

There should be hygiene related requirements in the operating plans, and failing to comply could be easily detected by trained operatives.

Of course, but they monitor public spaces, not private. There is no expectation of privacy when you are in public, but on private property, totally different story.

I didn't mention private

Summer just wanted to pass on the word that everything is fine. Nothing more to speculate. It was a case of mistaken identity... Business as usual...
