Serious question about STD's
My understanding is that Herpes and HPV type viruses need to enter your bloodstream as they are....viruses.
Skin to skin contact in my eyes shouldn't be enough to just pass it on unless there's cracks in your skin where the virus can be absorbed and passed on through infected bodily fluids.
My question is, has anyone actually got HSV2 or HPV while having protected sex?
My logic is that every ML and WL that's working would likely be infected just by sheer probability of an infected person shedding (but showing no visible) symptoms.
Especially the more popular ones.
Am I missing something?
I always play it safe although I do worry when I have an ingrown hair or pimple near my groin that it's something. I've never had any kind of lesion, wart or outbreak. But the "skin to skin" like that gets thrown out by every doctor out there doesn't make any sense
Any brothers shed any light on this?
