Crypto is a false sense of security unless you managed to get your crypto "offline". If you bought them by depositing cash on an exchange, tough luck. Now you're not only visible to the banks, the ATO will be on your back about your capital gains.
By offline I mean an off-exchange transaction. Risky AF now though.

My 2 cents is learn to use Bitcoin. The payment window is really similar to the credit card procedure. You just deposit cash to an exchange, then to a private wallet and from that wallet deposit to whatever site you want.

If like stated above you think the bank can still track this then use one of those "ghost" deposit sites to send BTC to your wallet.
