I agree with your observation. That is why I go in and try and avoid any discussion of extras and just pay for the massage to try and elicit some of that TT to entice me for extras. Works at less popular shops, the big names not really in my experience.
my experience as well, either you get asked before massage what extras you require or no teasing and then on the flip extras offered.
