Some of the rates I have been seeing advertised are extravagant. Shops have fast become the safer, cheaper and somewhat better alternative.
General escorts range from $300 pr hr to $1000 pr hr
Trans escorts from $300 - $1000 pr hr
Becoming unaffordable and I wonder if they are still busy?

Recently found out they've been taking advantage of people not bargaining and willing to pay their quoted rates (in fear of bad service). Honestly if you ask them for a slot on a weekday in the middle of the day they'll be open to negotiation, albeit not willingly; people in the cites are not spending like they used to, everyone's feeling the inflation pinch.
There are plenty of brothels and massage shops out there charging reasonable prices. I tried many privates and found they aren't any better than ML and WL in shops unless you want a lot of extras. But safety is very important for me.
I've tried a few privates, not super expensive and while not bad, they weren't worth the extra cost. I also realised I enjoy the unpredictability of seeing a lineup in a shop ie, punting.
ML charged $100 for nhj these days. $50 was standard 5 to 10 years ago
Depends on the private I'd say, but I saw a post from one on another forum talking about touring (idk if it makes a difference this was a trans private)

Anyway are privates overpriced? Imo yes I only go to ginza now, I started on privates years ago and I'm not interested at all now. Total ripoff vs what you can get in a shop (which imo is often better anyway).
Are they still busy? Sounds like they're doing fine, probably a lot of people that don't want to go to a shop for various reasons, I was one of them when I started punting.
