It is usually an indication that they provide adult services. Don't let the "therapeutic" bit fool you.
"Therapeutic" can mean a lot of different things ;)
I totally agree with you AHLUNGOR but I think I may have worded my original question incorrectly. You see I went to a massage clinic once which is mentioned as a "therapeutic only" massage clinic (they don't advertise) in many different adult massage forums yet they didn't provide any extras (not to me anyway) & I cannot understand why this particular massage clinic (who will remain nameless) is mentioned at all in "adult" massage forums considering they only gave me a remedial massage that day. Cheers !
Now, since you mention "adult" massage forums in plural, could I ask what are those forums?
Secondly, if the members of these adult forums specifically mention this place as "therapeutic only", then why would you expect anything else?
We (the punters) are really not that cryptic.
If we say it's "therapeutic only" then it IS "therapeutic only".
Some of us may go and try push the limits in these places (that's why it's called punting) and TOFTT (take one for the team).
If nothing more than massage is available, that's what we tell on the forum, so that other members don't have to go there (unless they only want massage).
I think it may be to get greater exposure to advertise in the Adult section.
The local newspapers have a section "Business and Professional Services" where "Massage therapy" is advertised; the guideline states that this requires that the person be genuinely qualified Massage therapist. This also contains shops where we know more can be had; will not name them but not hard to pick at least in the North Shore Times http://digitaledition.northshoretimes.com.au, see/#folio=45.
There are also "massage" at various locations advertised in the Adult SErvices section, see #folio=49 in the edition on web today where only a phone line or mobile are mentioned, no address.
Not sure about forums, but I get the impression that some of the info websites (like ParlorPages, True Local, etc) just trawl through various ads for "massage" and lump them all in together without knowing what actual services are available. I have found several there which are legit.
Can depend on the shop and the client. I used to wear suits and it's amazing how legit some places got, even if I'd been there dozens of times if they suspected I was after massage only or might be spying all I got was a massage, even sometimes lying there stark bollock naked. On the other hand these days I turn up in shorts and t-shirt, I rarely get legit only service. If the shop asks if you've been before or where did you hear about them, they're sussing you out. Sometimes they won't offer extras if you only go 30mins and they dont know you.
One place I go to has gone from legit massage to 90% of the time girls offering FS. The manager (who is by FAR the hottest but never does massage) says something to them in Chinese and I get deluxe treatment.
I have a three strike policy. If I go for an hour 3 times and get offered nothing despite giving ALL the signals of what I'm after, then it's off the list. Another indicator is when getting undressed, offer to take your underpants off, they'll either nod or shake their head.
If there in the adult section, isn't that a clear giveaway there is more on offer
They should have HICAPS:)
