How are we today? I'm a little late with my a.m post as I've been enjoying an almost perfect morning...
Sitting on my balcony basking in the sun, the taste of earl grey tea on my lips, my adorable pussy purring away happily by my side, and some of my fav. Enigma tracks drowning out the noisy traffic below...
Today is R U OK day (as I think our dear friend Fisher mentioned in a thread today). The R U OK foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the encouragement of conversations and suicide prevention, and works collaboratively with experts in suicide prevention and mental illness, to name but a few.
Today is a day of action, therefore a perfect opportunity to check in with friends, loved ones and families. I also think its a great opportunity to reach that little bit deeper and give a helping hand if we see a stranger in need (we've all seen an elderly struggling with their shopping, or someone requiring a seat on a train when there are none:surprise:, sitting beside someone on the bus who looks stressed and upset:cry:, or even standing in a supermarket que with a trolley full of items when the person behind you is just holding two:question:.)
Today I'm going to take this opportunity to dig that little bit deeper.............to reach out if needed, even if it means leaving the normal restraints of my comfort zone:smile:.................what do ya reckon?....:red_heart:
Anyway lovely gents, on that note, I do hope you all enjoy your Thursday as its not long until the weekend:shout::

Also, that's great Mguy for sharing the love around. I personally think days like today are incredibly special (as everyday should be :smile:). I lost my best of friend just over a year ago when he took his own life leaving behind 2 gorgeous little girls and a woman who loved him dearly. I often wonder if things may had gone differently "if, if, if".....so days like today are incredibly important in reminding us all to reach out to those we care about, and to humans in general I believe :-)
