The show was playing at work this evening, the other performances, all covers of course, sounded lame and with uninspring singers and voices
Sam Perry may end up being successful, but from what I heard he is no Freddy Mercury voice, or Eminem like talent.

Babymetal cops a lot of flack for being manufactured bubblegum rock.
What's lost in the discussion is that the band has serious talent, the choreography is perfect for the act and they're a bit of fun. I know they have helped introduce my daughter to the wonderful world of metal.
I do tend to stick mostly with the classics, but Mastodon, Gojira, Prophets of Rage (not strictly metal I know) have some great stuff. Too many of the bands today sound like clones of one another. It was telling when the big 4 all released albums a couple of years ago that, by their own standards, were average, and they won all sorts of awards.Quote:
