IF a shop sends me an unsolicited message, I just ask them not to. As Markin says, they know their business. As posted, you can turn off notifications for an app. If a shop doesn't listen, just block them. Blocked contacts can't interact with you. You want to contact, unblock.

Advantages/disadvantages to each method.

Google messages app provides the same. Probably worth setting shop numbers as while the others have said good shops won't send ads but I have on a number of occasions got messages saying the girl is running late or has to cancel and pick someone else (the worst as at the popular shops most are booked).

You can also set it so you can't see these on the lock screen notifications as well.

I think that was a theme for the pilots in some episodes of " come fly with me"

Samsung has "Secure folder" feature which can effectively hide many apps, files from main screen

I don't use WeChat as I don't trust it won't come back to bite me in other ways. I think back to when Ashleigh Madison's userbase was revealed.

I just figure I'm blending in with 1.5 billion people...

Use wechat just log out of it and delete the app when you go home is usually what I'd do

Kinda seems geared towards those who are cheating on their partners lol. #cheaterproblems

Samsung s25 allows me to hide apps like wechat, secondary browsers, i can easily access by typing the app name in play store.

Probably not a good idea to venture out of your way geographically for action too!
If something unforeseen happens (car troubles, traffic or a blue moon situation) your going to need a damn good reason why you were in that neck of the woods!!

I really don't have any concerns. I pay cash only to avoid the expensive surcharge.

Just flick your maps off for an hour or two! Get cash out when you go to woollies and shower in your own soap

Use a password manager app for note taking, Its very secured.
