Getting rimmed carries a higher overall infection risk than deep French kissing, although the absolute risk from a single encounter is usually still low. There are no reliable “1 in X” figures because risk depends on whether the person was infected, whether sores or bleeding were present, vaccination status, and the exact contact.
Deep kissing: the main realistic STI risk is oral herpes (HSV-1), especially if there was an active cold sore or tingling. Syphilis is possible if an infectious mouth sore was present. HIV, chlamydia and typical genital gonorrhoea are not realistically transmitted through saliva alone.

Being rimmed: your anus is exposed to the other person’s mouth, so the more relevant risks are oral herpes, syphilis, HPV and potentially gonorrhoea if they had a throat infection. HIV risk from rimming is considered little to none unless significant blood and open wounds were involved. Hepatitis A and gut infections are primarily a concern for the person doing the rimming rather than the person receiving it.
