So far only PornHub and its group of companies require it and you also have to log in or else it'll show you the PG version.
Use a VPN into another country to bypass the filter. Not UK as they are also blocked.
My Norton 360 already has a VPN included, no need for further.
Also tried eporner site on Monday, requested sign up, email verification and does the "age estimation" based on your webcam but apparently doesn't retain the webcam view ?????
Bro, not all VPNs are the same. The whole point of using a VPN in the context of bypassing country specific obstacles hinges on the VPN being hosted from a different country. That way it'll look like you're logging in from a country that is not Australia.
I bet the VPN that came with your Norton 360 is NOT hosted offshore. If it was, you wouldn't have been asked to sign up, etc.
In punting terms I think what GFM is trying to say:
If Norton360 VPN was a RnT, it'd be like that dodgy massage joint down a side street with a cheap flickering "open" neon light. You walk in, the waiting room has a couch that looks like it came from the Soviet Union and probably older than half the boilers working there. Mamasan's behind the counter having a full blown argument with a punter who claims his one-hour session somehow turned into 30 minutes.
You tell her you’ve got a booking. She squints at this filthy school exercise book full of hand-written scribbles, runs her finger down the page and goes "yes, yes....we have many girls, wait here, she free soon".
Thirty minutes later you’re still there, scrolling your phone, wondering if you should’ve just gone somewhere else.
Eventually the manasan yells out something in Chinese, and an old boiler comes out and waves you to a room out the back. You go in, the lights are dim, the a/c is rattling like a fucken lawn mower, the whole joint smells like mould mixed with cum.… technically the joint works but you’re not exactly feeling like you've paid for a premium experience.
That’s Norton 360 VPN.
It’ll get the job done.....eventually… but the whole time you're thinking there were probably better options if you’d shopped around first.
And just like RnTs, with VPNs YMMV.
Proton is pretty good, Nord is also good. Used both and no issues with either. I’ve been using VPNs for years anytime I want to look at anything even remotely sus. Just good practice.
Most porn sites are now working with age verification companies to verify the age of users logging on to them. The usual age verification methods used by these companies are either your email address, a selfy which looks old enough,, or various types of apps. I tried to verify my age with Xhamster using my email address, but it was not accepted as I have only been using my present one for the last 10 years, so presumably the software used by the verification company assessed me as being only 10 years old. I then tried a selfy of my 79-year-old face, which definitely looks its age, but that was also rejected (too ugly?)
I went to xhamster via Canada (courtesy of Proton VPN) and zero age verification requests.
Good point. I believe your searches could be linked to your user. What is done with the data might be described in some document.
Interesting the idea of use of vpn. I haven’t tried it yet. So, I haven’t seen porn since.
Just to clarify my own post .... I tried logging in to eporner without my Norton 360 VPN turned on. So it was clear my IP was Australia.
When I switch my Norton 360 VPN on I can choose the country I want my IP address to be eg New Zealand ...no issues with logging in without age verification.
You don't travel? There's more to a VPN than porn access. Gets you past the Great Firewall, past ME blocks, AND I'd strongly suggest using one when you connect to your personal (financial, social) accounts via a hotel's or coffee shop's wi-fi. Myself, I wrap my dick with a condom (mostly), and my comms with a VPN. Keeps me safe from the casual contacts.
Yeah I’ve noticed this too. Some sites are starting to ask for age or ID verification which is a bit worrying from a privacy perspective.
A lot of people are using VPNs now to avoid location restrictions and protect their identity online. It’s not perfect but it definitely helps keep your browsing more private.
Anyone here tried different VPN providers that actually work well with these sites?
