This is it!
Here we go !
This is it!
Here we go !
15 to win !
Haddin keeps the strike !
Bloody DRS !!
Just 14 runs short!
Great effort boys, you have done what you can and fight bravely to the end!
Lets do better at Lords !
James Anderson 10 wickets simply too good!
Cheers
Ugh. We needed to knock those runs off before lunch, was always gonna be hard to go again after the break.
Genuinely fear that's as close as we'll get to them throughout the series. :-(
Just one more point, we are competitive in both innings and it will do our young boys no harm to their confidence !
How good is our 10th wicket partnership in both innings !!
If only that lunch break was another half an hour later !!
Two innings and both times the so called tail a non batsman top scored. We need a decent batsman the ones we got are useless.
Clarke Hopeless, Watson playing across the line first ball after a break they just have no idea no dedication or commitment and the less said about the others the better.
I Must agreed with you there Bro. Our batmans should go back and learn how to bat with our bowlers. Look at Agar, he knew exactly what he wanted to do every ball and play with full of confident for both innings.
In MHO, they must drop Ed Cowan, keep the same bowlers and put Warner at number 5 or 6 push Michael Clarke in number 3 and move Agar to number 8 or 9.
We need a game changer such as Adam Gilchrist and David Warner is capable of doing that.
No, you are not a devil, you are a traitor !! But nevertheless a very smart gambler, may be that's why you always win and I always lost ! (just look at where the Brisbane Broncos is at the ladder !!)
But then again, my bet @$3.65 for an Aussie win was only 14 runs away !! It was so close, I thought my rocket to the Moon could finally cum off !!
I hope Queensland will put me back in front on Wednesday night !!
Cheers
:fire:
Well, I have been a long time Clarkey fans, so I am not ready to give up on the Captain yet, but he needs a big century very quickly to restort some respects back into the batting line up.
I think we had lost the first test in the first innings:
Even when our bowlers had restricted England to only 215, our batsmen let us down!
A team who batted like this really don't deserved to win any test:
Cowan 0
Clarke 0
Haddin 1
Siddle 1
Starc 0
Pattison 2 !!!!!!
We were 9 for bloody hell 117 - what were they thinking !!
From there, the feel good story started to happen, the Agar and Hughes show was fairytale stuff, which put us right back on top.
From then on, we have plenty of chances to street away and win the test comfortably but we only have some individual fighting spirits in some of us, as a team, we are way behind England. Clarke had made some terrible decision with the review - in comparison to Cook's match winning review !!
Then we have the Broad - not walking (with no review left !!), dropping of Bell, and ............... well, too many to recall anyway.
Yeap, I agree, drop Cowan, bring Warner back into the side, he can provide some X factor in the middle order, and DON'T GIVE UP !!
Cheers
Well, we have to wait another three sleeps before we can get to Lords, maybe we should check out all the WAGs from the England side:
You see, this is a punting forum afterall, and there are people saying that we shouldn't be talking about Cricket and Rugby League and SOO stuff here, so let's look at some chicks so that we all know who will be sucking those pommy cocks from the winning side !!
First up the Captain, Alastair Cook

Not only that we did not bat well, I felt like we play against 13 or 14 men (incl the 3 umpire). How can they miss the Broad's nick. That's is the worst decision of Test cricket ever. We have go 4 or 5 decisions against us and all at the crucial period of the game.
One more thing, I would be interested to see How England is going win any test without James Anderson at the moment.
Can't wait for the 2nd Test, start this Thursday.
Cheers
By the way, Go the Blue.
Ever wonder what the England boys are doing in their bonking session, oh, sorry, bonding sessions !!

Haha, just found out my bet on Australia to win the first test has been refunded by Sportsbet !!
Sportsbet called it a "Justice Refund" because they felt that we should have won the test, what a great PR promotion, they do this from time to time !!
So, without any hesitation, put it all back on the second test @$4.00 - may be I am destine to see Moon next week...............lol
Cheers
Hi guys,
It's on again tonight, the second Ashes test at Lords!!
Starc and Cowan are out to make way for Khawaja and Harris, would that be good enough for Australia to turn the table on England ??
Go Aussie, must win the second test to stay live, 2 down will be a bridge too far !!
It's time for either Michael Clarke and Shane Watson to stand up and make a ton !!
Cheers
:shout:
Good choices. Harris when fit is a match winner and khawaja has the technique to make it. It should be a good match
Well, my last bet on the Aussie to win was refunded by Sportsbet as a "Justice Refund" and I put them all back on the Aussie to win test 2 @$4.00, I think that's a good price considering we only lost by 14 runs ! And even if the test ends in a draw, I'll get my money back, why not!!
Well Harris is a very swing bowler, but I would rather go with Starc to have more variety.
So now we have 3 right arm bowlers with very similar style.
Anyway, good luck to the Aussie and all the punters that stick to the Aussie (put money on the Aussie) as I am not gambling.
Pattinson should've been the one to make way for Harris, not Starc. :-(
Pattinson, Siddle and Harris are very different. Harris could have been a 300+ wicket taker if not for injuries, if the pitch has juice for Anderson, Harris will tear them apart. Pattinson has the height and speed as well as a bit of away movement, and Siddle is a workhorse who now that he has his line back creates chances. Starc is a bit unlucky but apart from one or two spells he rarely looked really threatening in the first test. He's a real talent who needs a couple of extra strings in his bow. And when Cummins gets fit he too will be dynamic.
Meeting the Queen at Lords!
Now that's a cricketers dream, it's great to see the old lady greeted and shaked hands with all the players, how good was that for 19 yr old Agar!!
I just knew back then that Australia will do well !!
3 early wickets have set us on the right foot, we just need to carry on and take 7 more wickets on the first day!
If Australia is batting tonight, we shall win this second test !!
So Aussie !
Harris the man!!
Back from lunch, this pair of Bell and Trott are upping the run rate, we need to break this partnership ASAP !
Go boys !
