They have to support their families. So understandably money would be more important to them, compared to a girl living comfortably in the West

Well most of the punters I have come across were Chinese. Maybe due to cultural reasons, probably as they tend to concentrate more on their studies/careers. They may not be as well versed socially & don't have the same amount of "game" or "skills" as other guys to attract & court girls in real life. Who knows....
