Does it also affect prices? Like less offer while the demand is same, can push the prices up?

It is already doing that. Some shops have put prices up. Even popular privates are jacking up their price.
This is a weird situation the world is going through. It's almost like a de-globalization. The opposite of what has been going on that was "powered" by international travel, is now happening.
Let's see how it turns out.
We live in a world where a population commits national and civilization kamikaze because there terrified of virus snivelling like brainwashed coward's .
We live in a world where the few people who raise question's about the bigger picture , our castastrophic collapse & political
demise's are all labelled all sort of names like idiot by the self annointed luminaries hiding in the basement petrified of COVID 19.
People definitely are arriving daily, it's not just returning Australian citizens..
80% to 90% of the world is a shit hole - poverty, civil war, conflict, oppressive regimes, dictatorships, disease, no human rights or freedom, illiteracy, no opportunity, one party states, etc or some or all of the above.
That's just the way the world is.
It was like this before covid and it will be like this after covid.
That's why so many desperate people try to make it to the west using whatever means they can - legal or illegal.
And the rest just stay in the shit hole they were born in and accept their miserable fate.
For those 50+ seems there are plenty of Vaccination slots available to the Homebush vaccine hub over the next week for AZ
You can make an appointment here:

Unfortunately most of the brothers are under 50 and not eligible for AstraZenaca with a minimal risk of blood clotting side effects. Pfizer/BioNTech is now in short supply throughout the World. In hindsight, the Federal Government should have put their bets on Pfizer/BioNTech rather than AstraZenaca.
Giving this more thought... Government should offer more incentives for those who are vaccinated. This drives the adoption and having a population that is immune. Despite all the failures of the US in 2020, this is the one area of success.
Free AFL/NRL/cricket tickets if you get a shot? Free Opal card if you get a shot? Free lottery entires if you get a shot? Free coffee? Then further expanding what you can do if vaccinated (eventually) - travel, etc.
Food for thought. When incentivised to get their act together, that will prompt the adoption.
AstraZenaca does pose a greater risk of blood clotting for younger guys aged between 20 to 40 based on international experience and statistics so far particularly female. Also its protection is much smaller than Pfizer/BioNTech particularly to the notorious Indian strain and British strain. Even UK now recommends British residents under 40 to take Pfizer/BioNTech.
In Australia, even with limiting AstraZenaca to people aged 50 and above, the statistics so far is about 1 in 60,000 chance of getting the blood clot problem which is not a minor side effect.
Whether it is a wise choice to sign a waiver for those below 50 in order to get a COVID 19 shot earlier is of course a risk and benefits consideration for the particular person in question.
I had the first Astrazenica shot on the 12th of April due to my age at mid 60's and I have asthma and mild emphysema from working in polluted factories in my younger days so I was granted a priority by my doctor.
I have learnt to manage each condition for the most part but the worst is the suffocating feeling of shortness of breath whenever I get any serious flu, so I believe I would not survive Covid19.
I was a bit concerned about the blood clotting because I had a minor stroke from clotting when I was 38 that put me in hospital for 7 days while they did tests and inserted a stent to clear the clot.
After receiving the first dose I felt a little strange for 30 minutes and then fine, but then had flu like symptoms for three days but without the runny nose just all the rest like feeling lethargic and aches and pains all over.
Then after that I had fingers of pain going from my neck up to the top of my head which then presented as a sore spot on the top right side of my head like a punch and it was sore to the touch.
This lasted a couple of days then subsided and was never unbearable and since then have had no problems.
I was concerned because of my previous stint in hospital as clots can present as I described with local pain at the site.
But I was more concerned that this virus would definitely kill me and with our close contact with the girls it places us at a high risk profile.
Also I did not want to be the one to either catch it or spread it to others so now I feel much better that I am not only protected with 70 percent effectiveness after the first jab but cannot spread it to our lovely ladies.
I always felt all the working girls should have been shortlisted to get protected but as usual the government does not have any serious care or thoughts about these workers as needing to be protected as a priority.
So in summary, I am a high risk candidate for an adverse reaction but I am now fine so get some peace of mind and get vaccinated as it will open up opportunities later and protect you from the inevitable outbreak's long into the future.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with Covishield (AZ vaccine brand name) and wishing you best of luck with the second shot.
Regarding the girls and vaccination,
I posed the question to a number of Chinese girls about how they would likely be required to get vaccinated due to the nature of their work. All of them gave me a similar answer, that they do not trust any of the Western made vaccines due to the side-effects. Some of them have said that they'd rather put all their efforts into trying to go back to China so they can get the Chinese made vaccine instead (Sinovac).
It has been theorised that the Western made vaccines have more side-effects due to the chemical preservatives that are used on the vaccines, whereas the Chinese one and I think even the Russian one (Sputnik V) only keep the vaccines in saline solution, without preservatives. Comirnaty (Pfizer vaccine) used to be 100% preservative free, requiring storage and subzero temp, but recently this has changed so that you could store them at room temperature. Not sure if this means Pfizer are now also adding preservatives in the vaccines, but it does make you wonder.
It would be an interesting exercise to compare the reaction/results in populations that had Sinovac and Sputnik to those that had AZ and Pfizer. But alas that sort of information is unlikely to be compared let alone released in to the public domain.
So much was known about the effects of a pandemic yet a vast number of "experts" keep plying the public with ignorance and misinformation, mainly driven by political circumstance.
If anyone can be interested and stoic enough here's a link to a document (published in September 2019 by the John Hopkins Centre for Health Security) that predicts the effects and how governments could be prepared for such an event. Be careful, it might change your outlook on the response by those we elect.

Two new locally transmitted cases now, lots of hot spot sites in the Eastern suburbs and Bondi Junction. Let’s be very careful out there guys, and don’t let the Victorians laughing at us Sydneysiders!
And hopefully these two house mates are Not punters !!
Definitely Thailand will be opened to you after your Pfizer shots. The point is whether Australia will let you go but sometime next year, Australia will open its international borders to many countries though not everyone.
People who have the two full shots say that most of the side effects happen on the second shot though still relatively minor like fatigue and minor fever.
The borders are "closed" apparently and yet there's been over 350 international flights per week (4287 in Jan, Feb and March)! Hazzard gave out the info this morning there's been 37,000 flight crew quarantined in the last six months.
Not sure who all the passengers were, unless the planes are empty, which I doubt. So someone is getting in or out. Maybe it's easier than you think to get an exemption.
