She live System of a Down as well but haven’t pushed her to too much heavier stuff. We are actually going to the Babymetal concert in Sydney this June as her first big girl show (ie not the wiggles)

Same re: SOAD, she's tried introducing some of her friends at school to some of the music, a few have songs they like such as Down With The Sickness, Killing in the Name, Square Hammer, and of course a variety of Metallica songs.

That sounds awesome going to the Babymetal concert, I might check tickets too.

Arrived home tonight to the news my friend has passed away.

She was diagnosed with cancer last year, beat it, but earlier this year was told it had returned, far more aggressive, and there was nothing that could be done. For the past few weeks, when I could, I've been going to her place to drop off food for her family and read to her while she lay in bed. She loved literature. It was the only thing I could do to help...

Sometimes you just wonder what the fucking point is..

If you ever don't like what they are playing on the speakers consider buying a pair of noise cancelling headphones. They cost a fair bit if you want to buy a good pair, but it's worth it. With the pair I own, they can silence the sounds of trains when I'm listening to music.

Yeah I have a pair, not as good as ypurs but they do the job, usually the music in the gym is utter pus, couldn't survive without them. In fact you just reminded me to charge them for tomorrow!
