Police officer faces charges over fake marriage scam
From here:
The Police Integrity Commission has recommended that a former NSW police officer be charged with a raft of offences over a long-running scam involving fake marriages.
Hoan Thien Pham was a senior constable when the PIC started investigating he and his de facto wife in 2012 over a series of marriages within the Vietnamese community.
He has since left the police force.
It is alleged Mr Pham and his de facto wife organised at least three marriages, one for him and two for her, accepting tens of thousands of dollars to help their spouses get Australian visas.
The PIC wants Mr Pham to be charged with at least seven criminal offences including dealing with the proceeds of crime and misconduct in public office.
The report also recommends a further four people be charged over the marriage scam.
It is alleged Mr Pham went as far as legally declaring that another man was the father of his own child.

Sydney policeman in court over secret filming of sex with hidden camera
From here:
A Sydney police officer has told a court he secretly filmed himself having sex with women to prove himself to younger colleagues.
Senior Constable Marc David Osborn is facing three charges of filming a person engaged in a private act for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
The 42-year-old from Gladesville Police Station told Downing Centre Local Court today that he bought a clock with a hidden camera online in August last year, a week before the first offence.
He said he was working with officers in their 20s who would brag about their sexual relations.
Osborn said he was worried his colleagues did not believe him when he discussed his activities outside of work, so he played them the secretly filmed footage to show he was "one of the boys".
The court heard Osborn met the women through online dating sites.
Sydney policeman Marc Osborn guilty of secretly filming sex sessions with women
From here:
A Sydney policeman who secretly filmed himself having sex with women has been found guilty of all charges.
Marc David Osborn, 42, was charged with three counts of filming a person engaged in a private act, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
In August 2012, he bought a clock on the internet with a secret recording device and used it to film the trysts.
The senior constable from Gladesville police previously told Downing Centre Local Court he showed the footage to his younger colleagues to prove he was "one of the boys".
A court has heard that the tapes were common knowledge within his police station and that conversations in the office would sometimes involve his "latest video".
Magistrate Janet Wahlquist says the videos were extremely explicit and were made to prove Osborn was a "competent and virile sexual performer".
The court was told the women were not aware they were being filmed and trusted the officer.
Prominent lawyer Greg Walsh was in court for the verdict.
Outside he told reporters Osborn exploited women while they were at their most vulnerable.
"If vulnerable women like this are then treated in this way by a man in a police uniform...," he said.
"People feel confident when dealing with police. They should feel confidence and trust when dealing with a police officer."
An internal police investigation is also underway into the activities of the officer.
