There’s a weird (to me) fixation on change as a mark of quality in the last pages. They don’t keep changing the taste of Coca Cola, and the last time someone did have that bright idea it didn’t go well. Don’t feel like Coca Cola today? It’s, ok, there’s Fanta/Sprite/whatever elsewhere
There is an argument that MAC did change its Coca-Cola formula. It used to be a haven of competitively priced MLs visiting from Europe with regular renewal, in addition to the other MLs. That was its distinguishing feature from a lot of other shops. Now you just have Kat who regularly appears, Julia who appears in stints to top up her private earnings, and Robyn’s occasional appearances around her civilian life.Quote:
