Rich or high income wife

I always have this question in mind but never bother to ask. New forum member Belravos (thanks for sharing BTW) shared his story of his marriage in another thread that how much the cost of an unhappy marriage/divorce outweighs the cost of punting. Obviously there have been some similar stories shared in the forum.

But I just wonder have anyone here married a rich or high income wife? Would this change the whole story. I suppose you will have more spare money to spend and compensation from divorce if it happens?

Blokes with high income wives are too busy cleaning the dishes to be on the forum! :miao:

All kidding aside, I'm the breadwinner in the family, but the mrs family is absolutely loaded with assets - so whilst I carry the day to day expenses burden, she'll be the one who gets us over the line when it comes to buying property etc.

For now i just keep my head down and punt in upmost secrecy

Well said. This assertion is 100% correct.

I'm expected to provide financially regardless if I am the breadwinner or not. It doesn't matter if her side of the family is loaded with assets and has cash to buy my family multiple properties and give us a good retirement. That won't happen, as all the proceeds will go to our kids. I'm OK with this arrangement, I'll have a more fulfilling life than to rely on others.

Not 100% correct about men losing majority of times and having to provide regardless. Been through divorce twice now, even with kids its almost 50/50 asset split with shared custody. Most couples are even footed these days in terms of incomes and assets. Seen my mates divorce too, its B.S that the guy loses everything.

As for a high net worth female, you wont be touching her shit, guaranteed if she is from a rich family everything is under a trust structure. And if she earns more than you, hahaha, u will be simping and doing all the cooking, cleaning and chores... oh dont forget giving her foot massages every day after work :)

Now she has the kids that you will only see on her terms, if you get to see them at all. She will then weaponize your own kids against you.

And you will be paying child support and she gets the house.

You're assuming that she will play fair and things will be split 50/50 my dude. Its not a happy ending for most men.

For a high net worth female, I would imagine the guy would also be a high net worth guy. As girls tend to marry up socio-economically. So in that case, you are still expected to provide financially on top of doing house chores.

Its up to the family court to decide. Depends what assets are involved, length of marriage, if there was a pre-nup, contributions during the marriage, who gets the kids. Future needs etc. Will be different for everyone.

How much money in the bank account is considered rich? And how much salary is high? How many assets are considered many? I have to ask first..

High net worth individual = $2.5 Million+
Ultra High net worth individual = $30 Million+

I’ve already helped one guy get divorced, for three years I heard him complain every day about her till I had enough and booked the solicitors appointment. After that I never heard him complain and I even advised him on his new wife. Truth. Yep I had a profound influence on his destiny.

A few years ago, my married mate with three kids under 15 and assets of about $5m saw a divorce lawyer.
He was told if the kids stay with the wife, she will probably get 75% or more.

I find a lot of people here giving advice on shit the know nothing about. I suppose that's what I get coming to this type of forum that's full of keyboard warriors looking for attention. They know who they are.

I came back for the ramma roughie thread and this thread caught my attention. I should have known better

On the topic of broken marriages, I think people need to take these divorce stories with a grain of salt. When you think about it, what type of person is going to complain about their relationships on the bloody internet (specifically punting forums, the pinnacle of mens' society)? It's definitely not going to be that happy family guy who is genuinely happy. Relationships are not easy and were never easy but what you get in return can pay off big time. Punting is easy but you never really grasp anything beyond the fleeting dream.

One guy who considering divorce might be complaining and whinging all the way through but who is to say that the woman is the only one to blame? There's always two sides to a story and the wife might actually have legitimate reasons as to why she's being a such a "bitch".

And let's be real here, most people don't have any self awareness especially guys with their big dick swinging egos. Plenty of guys are fucking dickheads and they wonder why they have issues with their wife, kids, family, friendships etc :grimace:
