The girls in country in Vietnam are very sophisticated and a little more choosey that I have been familiar with in my visits to Philippines. Much of this field report may refer to the differences between these two countries.
Being in Vietnam as a more mature gent is not like being in Ph. Unless I was in a well known punting area of District 1 I would be left alone. No one trying to scam me, rob me or even talk to me. Ny transactions, coffee, foods, taxies would be handled professionally, charged exactly and change given correctly. No expectation for tips. The Vn women I see in general life, many are stunning, well dressed professionals. Heels, dresses and nice clothes are still the norm here. Compare that to what I would see in Chermside on a Saturday morning. Life as a visitor is very pleasant her.
As for girl action, prostitution in Vietnam is illegal. And yet it is everywhere. Here are a few of my experiences in no particular order.
Facebook. In the months before arriving I added a few random girls that had appeared from making a few posts in Ex-pat groups. So although a group may be called ‘ex-pats of HCMC’ it is still full of people looking to connect with foreigners. The interested people will connect with messages. From FB I met a stunning 28 yo lonely girl. We were getting along well until she told be she was Hep B positive. That was nice of her to tell me before we went too far. Over the next days I moved on. I send a message to one of the contacts whom was in my same district. We agreed to meet for lunch and wine. Had a great afternoon with a stunning yoga enthusiast half my age. Although we both enjoyed ourselves I think it was just an opportunity window. Maybe she was married at home, who knows.
Bumble is a slower build waiting for the girls to match and make contact. I only used Free account. As is typical of dating apps many girls are cautious wanting to profile me before agreeing to meeting. so it took about 7 days until the I meet the first girl using Bumble. She was a stunner but being below 30 I was too old for her and I realise she’s too young for me. The only girls below 30 that I fucked were totally professional massage girls. So I realigned my target ranges after the Hep B girl and this Bumble girl.
Showaround girls I had some nice times but did not convert any of these.
Seeking.com was a good source of activity for me. I was happy to pay the USD80 rate that I could subscribe here which gave me access to attractive girls.
First girl turned out to be in my same neighbourhood, within a 5 minute bike ride. She would message me when she left her house and by time I caught the lift to the foyer she was there in nice dress, heels and makeup.. Maybe too close. First night we went for a nice dinner and we rode around on her bike. She was happy with that. Next time she was insisting I be the driver of the bike and her the passenger. As soon as she’s the passenger she’s hugging me and caressing my nipples. We rode around a while as it was quite a fun ride for me before she accepted an offer to watch Youtube at my apartment. She was a very regular visitor that fitted into my roster and best bit she was always leaving early to go to work. I never paid here but I did give her a nice dinner each nice and some instagram worthy meals.
A chubby filipina from seeking was also on my list. She was a deadset starfish and a very poor decision. Nice girl doing the wrong thing being on that website.
A chubby but young and pretty Viet girl had a nice dinner and some flirting but at the end wanted USD300 for the night. Way better options so I let her go away.
Got a message from an Australian girl here on holidays asking for USD500 for the night. That is way out of the question here.
Met a very sweet, very slim 35 year old educated business woman between jobs. Met for coffee and back at my apartment within an hour. She gave me an excellent workout and left without payment. Same lady repeated the following two nights for VND4m (AUD260). This included her buying us dinner and paying her own transport. I can imagine falling for this woman and spending a lot more time with her.
Wechat massage. Using Nearby feature easily able to contact a local woman operating a few girls in her apartment. VND2m AUD130 for “two hours” but that is cut short. Can send to my apartment for 2.5m
Karaoke joints. I did spent a few hours singing in a local Karaoke place. Pay the room fee of about 400k + plus a girl fee 400k plus a few beers. Although I got lots of cuddles from short skirted young girls in heels and a feel plus there numbers I was not able to convert these. I did sing quite a few Vietnamese lyrics so I guess I improved my accent. I would probably repeat this as it was kind of fun but as you can see relatively it’s expensive leading nowhere.
Foot Massage places. Let’s call these brothels and save the confusion. But the one I visited was lovely marbled room, shower, sauna, steam room, massage table, couch and a bed. Joined by a lovely lady with a good service and without tips. A good catch and release experience.
I’m sure there are many more things to share from this trip. As soon as I finish watching on the girls working in this coffee shop I’m sure I’ll write more some time.
Forgot to add how approachable many of the Vietnamese girls are. Many of the online forums do talk about how they can be hard to crack. After a week or so here I found my perfect opening line for the pretty lady sitting nearby in the coffee shop. "HI, do you know the wifi password?" That was usually enough to start a conversation. No need to overthink. Yes I got declines from further conversations but not before having enough success to add it to my repertoire.
Sounds like you have similar approach I do in Vietnam. I dated locals off tinder with a reasonable success rate, one called a friend to join us at the end of the night. Then did the WeChat thing if I struck out and had stopped in for random massage specials if I needed a rest when roaming the streets.
I’ll be there in a few weeks for a week stop over on longer holiday And already have chicks from the previous trip lined up.
I’m thinking I might try seeking to up the quality though. Want to try some younger girls this time around too.

Vietnam is NOT a punter paradise and you may leave underwhelmed. To enjoy food you need to know how it works otherwise you are sitting in some tourist trap with english menu paying western prices eating shit food at 10x prices..
Vietnam is very safe for travelling and certainly safe solo. You will need Google translate in many places but in District 1 and mainstream tourist places english is fine. I encourage you to download and use Grab app. Use Grab bikes to get around.
You are only there for 5 days, not much time to make mistakes. If it was me, I would do day tours then go to Linh Cherry Little Tokyo once each day. Probably also fit in a 1-2 night tour to Mekong. While there are many places in Vn to see, Mekong is driving from HCMC so you aren't going through airports and losing time. Heaps of tourist places in D1 for booking tours.
I encourage you to hire local and private guides to maximise your experience.

Try Danang/Nha Trang as regional destinations and you can get a cheap domestic flight from either HCMC or Hanoi
For those of you that are new to Vietnam - as "cumshot" has said it isn't like Thailand or Philippines - its not as out there as those destinations, but there is so much action to be had for those who do the following:
1. research before you go and develop a hit list of places to visit where you will most likely get some good opportunities
2. if you dont have a lot of time stay mainstream - Linh Cherry/Japan Town/KTV/Happy Spas
3. Stay away from girl bars - lots of eye candy but action takes a lot of work and money
4. use apps - this gets you a hot list of potential meet ups before you event leave AU - but make sure you video call everyone first to make sure they are the same as in the pics
5. stay in a girl friendly hotel or AIRBnB - 4 star plus hotels don't allow visitors to the rooms
6. plenty of working girls at legit bars and night clubs - they will be drinking water so easy to spot
7. VN girls are not into public displays of affection so dont try and grope them/ kiss them / hug them in public
8. use home massage services where you can see pics of the girls before hand and enjoy them without even having to go looking
great insight Cumshot and Mememe. Now this gives me a different imagination what i thought seeing in yutube about VN same as TH. Last November been to BKK and Pattaya it was good fun but i find it expensive, i’m not talking about the punt but the hotel and food expense too. Though was on budget 1k spent for 5 days. I mainly use app Thai friendly, almost all agree to service. had 18, 20s, 30s and hot milf. dw legit female did ST on all was range of 50-80aud in conversion did 10x punts. I walk through the walking beach I suspect about 50% are LB. as I walk pass i often get called with the deep voice coming from under the tree. didn’t pick any there lol Overall it Thailand was awesome and everynight party life till past midnight. Where would be the budgeted area in PH and safe ? are there scammers/pick pocketers? what’s the average cost to punt in shop and freelancer?
